- From $310.07 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 826 reviewsThe view from the Premier cabin was lovely. We were in number 11 and there is not the option for anyone to camp in front of you. Therefore you have direct and lovely views of the fjord and mountains. Had the ability to sit outside and enjoy the view even when raining due to having a terrace with a small ‘over hang’ so you could keep dry. It also created a sense of privacy from the cabins very close either side of you. Ability to swim in the fjord literally a couple of steps away and it was most welcomed. The cabin is small but it has everything you need for 2 people (we had a one bedroom). Fully equipped kitchen - had everything you needed for a short stay. Lovely welcoming staff (Maria on reception was so helpful and friendly). 25/30 minute walk into the main town along a road with no path but we managed it both ways. Would highly recommend.Guest review byEileenUnited Kingdom
- From $291.06 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 2,352 reviewsThis hotel is located at no doubt one of the most beautiful places in the World! That alone wouldn't mean much if the hotel, the staff, the decor and the attitude weren't the way they are - a truly magnificent place, fantastic people who run the hotel, personnel and experience! I accidently met there Mr. Karl Mjelva, the old owner who now is retired - he is a truly phenomenal character and person! That is one, if not the best hotel and place to visit in the World! Phenomenal, fantastic, unreal! I will come back and I will come back many times!Guest review byRashkoBulgaria

The staff are great and sitting by the fire in the main lobby is a real treat. You will not be disappointed with this hotel. It has a sauna and fjord plunge area. The hotel feels so comfortable and warm. Marianne greats you with a smile at breakfast every morning and all the staff are so kind.Guest review byGeneCanada

The woman at the reception was so nice and helpful, was there even if we arrived a little late for check in. Room was clean and had everything we needed. The most beautiful place in Norway, till now.
The most beautiful place in Norway, till now. Take the fjord cruise, more important, take a panoramic tour to the Eagle bend and a few other view points, the fjord looks more beautiful from the hill.Guest review byPingbaiBelgium - 8.0
Ålesund, per se, is not a major attraction.
Ålesund, per se, is not a major attraction. However, this nice city is an excellent starting point to explore the surroundings spectacular fjords, drive the Atlantic road, and eventually go to other regions. That was what we did and it went extremely well. Weather seems to be colder and wetter here than upper north and on the south of the country, therefore the travelling period should be carefully chosen.Guest review byAna EstanqueiroPortugal - 10.0

I went to Kristiansund primarily because it is so well connected and I wanted to visit a small Norwegian town on my way to Trondheim. There is not much going on here, but it is still an interesting place to visit for sure. And make sure to take a ride on Sundbåten, it is rather lovely.Guest review byAndriiUkraine - 10.0
Molde is at the western coast of Norway.
Molde is at the western coast of Norway. There is plenty of rainy weather, but when the sun shines, there is hardly a better place to visit. The stunning beauty of the mountains across the fiord is absolutely magnificent. There are nice hotels, but the prices are quite high to be a city of the size of less than 30K citizens. Maybe the cost-level reflects the history of tourism when the royal families from different nations of Europe frequented this part of Norway. You will find friendly staff at all places, but you could also pop into those who might take you as a visitor for granted. Maybe if you smile, you could get somebody smiling back to you.Guest review byKarl-Axel57Norway - 8.0

A property that could do with some face-lift such as better and faster service offerings. Albeit negative reviews, was pleasantly surprised to experience the opposite. A nice and quiet pla e with simple amenities providing good value for money. If you don't expect too much, you will enjoy the stay. Reqlly nice and friendly staff.Guest review byRajNorway - 10.0

The fjord is beautiful. There is hiking near by. Activity business right in town. Food options are limited unless you are RV/Caravan travel. No need to travel Troll Road when you are able to get to the overlook/ tourist center to have a good look. There is a need to travel Troll road for access to the north to avoid a long circle drive.Guest review byStevenUnited States - 10.0

The area of Eisdal is one of the most beautiful in the fiords zone in Norway beeing really close to Norddsalfjorden and Geiranger Fjorden. There are several possibilities for hiking reaching some really panoramic summit like Grojet and Keipan. We also took the chance to visit Alesund driving for 90 km.Guest review byEdoardoItaly - 2.0

When you are visiting Geiranger, you need to reach Stranda through a ferry and the times for the ferry are not good. They have a ferry once a hour in the evenings and you will end up wait for an hour sometimes when you miss the previous oneGuest review byKrishna C SistlaSweden - 8.0

Very small and cozy place. The view is spectacular! You can feel peace around. Supermarket is quite far but if you have a car is no problem. Also if you need some shopping you can go to Moa which is 15 min by car. There's a ferry and a bus stop. Trails to the woods is quite nice, you can spend a very nice day there.Guest review byAntoninaUkraine
