New ZealandWe really like this place. First of all, communication is very smoothly and helpful. Secondly, friendly to “I” type people, as you can help yourself with all the process just follow the information through the email and message. Honestly, I would like to book again if I plan to visit New Plymouth next time. The lounge room, the whole hotel more like an art gallery, you can see a lot of artworks including some Chinese paintings, sculptures. Room is not very big but with everything you needed, it’s tidy and clean, showers are brand new, I believe they maintain the facilities well. We did not get a chance to try the restaurant as we arrive on 24th, Christmas Eve, while all the restaurants are closed on Xmas. But when we passing the bar, it seems very good, maybe we can have a try next time. The location of the hotel is really really really convenient!!! Close to all the places, the KFC, PNS, light show park, art gallery.

New Plymouth is pumping with life. All the cafes and restaurants are busy, Lots of young people around making it feel vibrant and alive. its a great town with lots to do. A walk around Pukekura Park and the Bowl of Brooklands is an absolute must. The cafe in the park has the most amazing scones!! Recomment Rice Rice Baby Vietnamese restaurant. It was very poor accommodation. Not clean before we got there room was very smelly n musky dirty smell. Lots missing from room. Utensils, TV remote, pots, toaster, iron. We couldn’t book anywhere else all booked out a big festival was on in the area. Emergency housing was in the Lodge they were disgustingly dirty (bogens) Dogs inside their hotel room. It is a natural beach loved by surfers! Take the kickboard, go directly into the sea, and enjoy the fun of surfing. If you are tired, you can rest on the beach. Inglewood is just a typical small NZ town.. nothing remarkable. But it provides fairly close access to Mount Taranaki, with its walks and the Rhododendron festival, and not too far from the Forgotten Highway with its splendid rural hilly scenery. There are a range of places to eat including things like Subway, pizza shops, cafés and full restaurants. The hotel has a full restaurant service but not on Mondays and Tuesdays. We visited just for one day with my elderly mother in a wheelchair. We took her around Brooklands zoo (free/optional donation) which was great. She also loved Pukekura gardens. We visited the new swing bridge just out of Stratford, takes about a half hour walk to get to it but well worth it. Walked to the township for a meal which was good as the weather was superb. We dined at Malones for dinner which was really nice. On the Sunday we had a great coffee and cake at a little gallery just off the main street which was a hidden gem.Guest review bySueNew Zealand
