It's a great steal... Close to Mt Egmont, staff is very friendly, great shower, good internet and a bar Cafe below (no noise in the rooms).

Located in Waitara and with Yarrow Stadium reachable within 11 miles, Masonic Hotel provides a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar.
Bella Vista is very nice motel with laundry, the receptionist is very pleasant person, he explain all you can visit in New Plymouth, he give us good restaurant and bar address. That the first time we visited New Plymouth we have very good feeling with Bella Vista. We recommend Bella Vista at all tourists.
I was very surprised given the price. The room was very nice, the restaurant was great and so was the location. If I’m in the area again I’ll definitely be staying here.
fun and comfortable. next time I visit NZ, I’ll be using this chain as much as possible. all you need is right there and great location, walkable and safe
New Plymouth is pumping with life. All the cafes and restaurants are busy, Lots of young people around making it feel vibrant and alive. its a great town with lots to do.
A walk around Pukekura Park and the Bowl of Brooklands is an absolute must.
The cafe in the park has the most amazing scones!!
Recomment Rice Rice Baby Vietnamese restaurant.
Lots of good places to eat.

It was very poor accommodation.
It was very poor accommodation. Not clean before we got there room was very smelly n musky dirty smell. Lots missing from room. Utensils, TV remote, pots, toaster, iron. We couldn’t book anywhere else all booked out a big festival was on in the area. Emergency housing was in the Lodge they were disgustingly dirty (bogens) Dogs inside their hotel room. Their rooms were disgustingly yuk. Not a good experience I would not recommend anyone to stay there. Very poor. Bad Experience.

one night as a stopover between Waikanae and Hamilton to break the drive up is really great. only thing we missed was the museum as we didn't stay long enough. apparently that is really quite something. next time?

It is a natural beach loved by surfers!
It is a natural beach loved by surfers! Take the kickboard, go directly into the sea, and enjoy the fun of surfing. If you are tired, you can rest on the beach. The sunset is beautiful and not to be missed. But there is no lighting after sunset so be careful walking back to where you parked

Inglewood is just a typical small NZ town.. nothing remarkable. But it provides fairly close access to Mount Taranaki, with its walks and the Rhododendron festival, and not too far from the Forgotten Highway with its splendid rural hilly scenery.
There are a range of places to eat including things like Subway, pizza shops, cafés and full restaurants. The hotel has a full restaurant service but not on Mondays and Tuesdays.
The shopping centre is unremarkable but provides for all ordinary needs such as banks, post office, supermarkets and so on. Town very safe.

Super Market and small businesses appreciated. Convenience of travelling North and South of Waitara to Taranaki historical sites suited our family. Close to the sea a bonus. Managed a little fishing. Play Park great for children.

Typical country town.
Typical country town. There was a great coffee shop, vehicle srervicing and farm supply facilities.
We enjoyed our stay there as a staging post for WOMAD in New Plymouth.
The view from the Barbwire Bach across the lake is tranquil and very scenic.

A little village right on the coastline. South, West coast of the North Island NZ.
Wild beaches, very friendly people, talked to the local fishermen.
Great place for families to explore or couples for a little romance.

We visited just for one day with my elderly mother in a wheelchair. We took her around Brooklands zoo (free/optional donation) which was great. She also loved Pukekura gardens. The coastal walkway was also perfect for wheelchairs (care needed on railway crossings). Mount Taranaki was absolutely stunning with its snowy peak.

We visited the new swing bridge just out of Stratford, takes about a half hour walk to get to it but well worth it. Walked to the township for a meal which was good as the weather was superb. We dined at Malones for dinner which was really nice. On the Sunday we had a great coffee and cake at a little gallery just off the main street which was a hidden gem.
