- From $88.02 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 110 reviewsThis has to be the best place we have stayed in our whole trip. We were greeted and treated with unmatched hospitality by Elio throughout our stay. Every morning he personally delivered fresh bread and cakes from local pastelaria to the door in addition to the already fully stocked fridge with water, juices, yogurt, ham and cheese, jams, fresh fruits and other breakfast items. We were also given tours of the impressive collections of many beautiful and interesting historic artifacts from different regions of Portugal. We were also super impressed with the beautiful environment surrounded by peaceful and quiet ranch with cows and sheep and vineyard. On top of all these, the size of the apartment, the views from the back porch, the decorations, the furniture and the comfort of the rooms are all top notch. This is a truly unassuming place to unwind and bring the family to enjoy.Guest review byDalei LiangUnited States

It's worth the drive from Lisbon, though I must admit it is quite a long drive. But the place is a surprise, a hidden gem, that needs to be experienced. A 2-night stay in this charming medieval village is the minimum. As a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city, I do not mind staying here for a week!Guest review byiWillTravelMorePortugal - 6.0

Not much in the town itself except for the unique tapestry museum - a must see. And an outstanding restaurant on the far southern (?) edge of town. There are easy excursions to two nearby castle towns well worth seeing.Guest review byTimothyUnited States - 10.0

Castelo de Vide is a charming and peaceful hilltop town full of history and character. With its medieval castle, cobbled streets, and beautifully preserved Jewish quarter, it feels like stepping back in time. The views over the Alentejo hills are breathtaking, and the atmosphere is calm and welcoming. It’s the perfect destination for a quiet getaway, surrounded by nature, culture, and authentic Portuguese charm. Ideal for slow travel and those looking to unwind in a truly special place.Guest review byLuisMGLDSpain - 8.0

I know the village, as I was born and raised in another small village nearby, Seda. It has everything you need from shops to bank, pharmacies, swimming pool , cafes, petrol stations and it is very close to a main road, A23, which can take you everywhere in Portugal. Perfect if you look for a place where you can switch off your brain from work for a few days. When there try a wonderful delicacy called Tecolameco, divine.Guest review byMarcoUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The hotel is very well located in the town, it has excellent parking and great views out over the surrounding countryside. I found the staff were very helpful in where to go & visit and provided annotated directions on a local map.
