The resort is quite large but not a problem as they have a buggy service that picks you up within two minutes to take you places. We only used that at night as enjoyed riding the complimentary push bikes around the resort during the day. The restaurant was amazing. The seafood was the best we had in Thailand. The buffet was incredible. It was quiet and comfortable. Loved how it was away from the main part of the island. And don’t let that put you off either, you can easily get a long tail boat to and from the main island town. We would’ve love to visit again. Yes, from the U.S. all the way to this tiny island twice! I travel alone, and the property manager was clearly looking out for me the first time. So I went back a second time! On my first visit, they were working hard to recover from the Covid era, and I truly felt their plight. They had finished some projects and made some improvements the second visit and I hope they succeed. Feel wild and safe at the same time here! The private beach is rocky, but just put on some water shoes and swim anyway. The water is calm and pleasant. If you want the beach and trips from the beach to the islands do not recommend you go this time of the year. As three single travellers there were very few bars, lots of restaurants that sold alcohol but no bars you could sit at and have a chat only found four and three of those were a good 30min walk from the centre. Ao Nang seems to have changed a lot over the years and has lost a lot of it's character as it is now catering more for families, which is not a all bad if that is what you are looking for but comparing it with Hua Hin, or Koh Samui, it just doesn't.Guest review byDennisAustralia - 8.0

It is useful to note that there are multiple long boats and piers to access Railay. The safest route is to the east beach from Ao Nammao pier where you can safely park a hire car for a reasonable cost. If you don’t have your own transport, there are various options such as taxis.
