The room was very clean and spacious, there was plenty of tea and coffee that was refilled every day and the hotel was generally very quiet. The neighbourhood is quiet but with many cool bars and restaurants a short walk away in Greenpoint or Williamsburg, and good bakeries and bagel places around the corner. I have never had the opportunity to live in such a luxurious hotel before. It's a fantastic place: close to 5th Avenue and Central Park. Life here is bustling. The room is very spacious and large, and it had everything I needed. Additionally, they kindly provided me with an adapter. The view from the window was magnificent: we were staying on the 15th floor. Housekeeping was done every day.

FAQs about hotels in Manhattan

Wake Up in the City That Never Sleeps

Nothing prepares you for your first glimpse of Manhattan. This legendary island is everything you’ve seen and read. And more.

Its most famous skyscraper is the Empire State Building, though some argue that views from the Top of the Rock in the Rockerfeller Centre are even better as they actually feature NYC’s most iconic building. Equally unmistakable is the Chrysler Building, overlooking Grand Central Station whose interior is pristine.

Wandering Times Square it’s easy to see why this city never sleeps. Broadway, with its theatres, runs through it and continues to Central Park, a haven of greenery. At its midway point is the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and MoMA is another museum nearby.

Other midtown Manhattan attractions include Radio City Music Hall and St Patrick’s Cathedral, while further south are the intriguing districts of Greenwich Village, Little Italy and Chinatown. Streets in between house the bastions of New York shopping – Macy’s, Bloomingdales and Saks Fifth Avenue.

However, the real business goes down at Manhattan’s southernmost tip, where Wall Street houses the New York Stock Exchange. North-west is the Ground Zero Memorial, while from southern Battery Park ferries depart to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.

Space is at a premium in NYC so there aren’t many Manhattan hotels with free parking. However, Booking.com does offer great Manhattan hotel deals, including cheaper options.

The location is amazing. Best location in NYC. Room with balcony and pool view was lovely - clean, modern, comfortable. Room cleaned everyday with fresh towels. Price was very reasonable compared to other hotels that are just average for the same price. I would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends&family.

I lived in NYC in the 70's/80's and now visit when I can.

I lived in NYC in the 70's/80's and now visit when I can. It still is "like no other city in the world." This is a wonderful walking city, but the transit system will take you anywhere you need to go. If you are in the threatre district, there are restaurants galore of every cuisine. I note that one of my favorites is a small French bistro, 48 years in business called Le Tout Va Bien at 311 W 51st Street. Tip: go to the box office of the musical or play you want to see. You pay only for the tickets and tax, none of the extra added fees that 3rd party sellers tack on. Of course this is good for single or pairs for popular shows. The box office staff at the threatre are very helpful with seat selection. Enjoy your time in NYC. There are History, Science and Art museums. Stroll through Central Park. Go to the tourist sights - all are interesting. There is something for everyone!

‏Unpopular opinion, but I love Brooklyn so much more than Manhattan. ‏There are so many cool, stylish people here, along with amazing design stores and boutique cafés that double as unique, authentic galleries. ‏The streets are beautiful, in my favorite color palette. I’m obsessed. ‏No wonder I keep coming back here again and again.

From the periodic information passengers were able to get my United flight to Portland Maine was repeatedly delayed and then cancelled because the plane would not be able to land once it arrived. Apparently the problems on 4 September were building up throughout the day. Before the flight from LA landed my daughter in Sydney, Australia messaged me to tell there were ”shenanigans” at Newark.

Jersey city was a great spot to stay for our NYC trip. Just a 1 stop PATH train stop to Manhattan meant we could get a great size apartment for a family of 4 for a very reasonable price over the expensive Xmas/new year’s period. We have people in N Jersey and Hastings on Hudson. Neeme indian restaurant is best Indian I've had in years happy hour 5-7, Leibman's Deli a classic both in Riverdale.
