Hotel Burbank is an EXCELLENT hotel ! I cannot recommend it enough . My daughter and I just spent a week there and had the best time . The hotel is extremely clean , the rooms are a great size , beds and pillows are comfortable the staff is friendly having on-site laundry is a bonus and the airport shuttle is a great option to have.

    The one room space was perfect for the single night me and my partner needed for the night at such a late hour in LA (10-11pm). Bed was comfortable enough and the mini fridge in the room was good to keep our little cake souvenirs cool. Rooms aren't very sound proof, which wasn't an issue for us, we didn't mind. The hallways were really nice too. Good cheap price. You get what you pay for.

    The staff were friendly and professional. Check-in was smooth and quick. The area where the hotel is located is convenient, safe, and has plenty of options nearby for shopping and dining. The room was clean and large, and the beds were comfy. The room was also very reasonably priced. I definitely would stay at The Mikado again and recommend it to all.

    I am actually local to Glendale and commute in and out of the city often. My grand mother also used to live in the city for all of my life and I've always loved it. Glendale definitely has a sweet spot in my heart. It is a beautiful city with a lot of live action, incredible food spots, shopping, diverse culture, ect. There is honestly no city in LA County that is "easy to get through" lol just like anywhere else you just have to be patient and avoid all the reckless drivers.

    I lived in Burbank for 50 years, went to High School there, only recently moved to my ranch in the next city over, it's a better place to live but why would anyone want to visit there? There's NO vegan restaurants (okay Veggie Grill is a GREAT vegan restaurant located right on the edge of Burbank but prefers to call itself "Toluca Lake". One of the most exciting things about sleepy, senior Burbank is that they have a Trader Joe's and THREE AMC movie theaters and a Walmart (and the City Council tried to keep Walmart out for years)

    Calabasas is the heart of luxury but honestly what you make it. You don’t know who you’ll meet. I saw Mario in the topanga mall, went to different beaches through the east coastal strip. Had amazing food and dinner on the water. I went a few dates and had the best shrimp tacos. Calabasas is wonderful and filled with scenic views like out of a painting.

    Lots of places to go and are very close. Univeral studio is about 8 minutes drive. NoHo West is walking distance, North Hollywood Art District is up the street. Sherman Oaks Westfield Mall is about 15 minutes drive. Burbank Airport is about 5 to 10 minutes drive. Its litterly very close. Burbank mall is about 10 to 15 minutes away by car. Magnolia Park park is 5 minutes away. There a neighborhood park called Tiara park is about 1 minute away, about 1 block down the street. Movie theater is at the NoHo West Mall. Metro is about 7 to 10 minutes walking distance away, 2 minutes by car. Lots of parking spaces at the metro for free. There is a local Public Library on Magnolia & Tujunga, which about 5 minutes by car.

    The hotel is decent, with clean rooms and nice breakfast. Parking is a bit of headache because of the valet fee. The problem is I reserved rooms from Bookings.com, but the hotel overcharged me about $100. Even worse is that I called the front desk 4 times about this issue but nobody cares about it. I don't know how I can trust their customer service.

    Mission Hills is located in San Fernando Valley and it seems to be filled with hard working families, a nice community of people and in particular Spanish Families. :0) Not being racist... being honest. There are alot of restaurants, family ones especially and some hole in the wall spots... food trucks. Shopping plazas that have most chain stores and some knock off stores..and ur typical dollar stores and such. There is bus service, uber, lfyt, etc. Alot of traffic and tends to be hot in the day. Night breeze comes through and brings a chill with it, The bigger guys love it and are usually in shorts and women usually bring a sweater for the evenings.]

    Never stayed in such a horrible motel! no bedside lamps, half a roll of bathroom tissue. No blanket on the bed...... It was in a bad location. Will never stay there again and never recommend it to anybody!

    The location was good, lots closeby.

    The location was good, lots closeby. We went to thrift stores, cigarette stores, beauty shop, grocery stores, visited son who is at a nearby psychiatric treatment facility. The room, staff and other guests all made it a positive experience overall!

    The hotel is in a good location with a nice view of the houses up in the hills, the breakfast is always good and the chef will make your own selection of vegetables and meat in it, they have a large pond in the lobby with lots of big koi fish, and you can ask from the counter fish food to feed the fish yourself or your kids, and they have an elevator with glass walls so you can see the view from the lobby going up to the 12th floor!
