I had an amazing experience at the hotel. The rooms are designed in a modern, clean, and comfortable style, with wooden interiors that bring a cozy and luxurious feeling. The large windows with a beautiful sea view allowed me to completely relax during my stay. The staff here is extremely friendly, enthusiastic, and always ready to assist with any request. The hotel's location is also very convenient, just a few minutes away from tourist attractions and entertainment areas. Tony and his wife were very welcoming and helpful hosts. They organized a great boat trip at a very good price for us and booked our bus to Ha Giang. The rooms were spacious, confortable and very well furnished. Very good wifi on each floor and great location, walking distance to nice bars and restaurants. Very good value for money.

    Beautiful resort, amazing staff, delicious food, amazing view of Halong Bay. Beds were super comfortable. Best I’ve slept in Asia. The room was gorgeous and had a great ocean view.     I liked the location, it was just in front of the sea, although the beaches are not close you just get the promenade. It's very centric from there you could go anywhere by walking. During december there was nobody around which was excellent. They provide tours and even scooters to rent.

    We planned to stay in Halong for 1 day, on our way to Cat Ba...

    We planned to stay in Halong for 1 day, on our way to Cat Ba island and planned to stay another day on our way back to Hanoi. Due to rough seas after typhoon Kajiki, we stayed 2 days in Halong. The town is very quiet, many businesses and hotels are closed and it shows what happens to a once busy and thriving place, when the tourists no longer come in their previous numbers. Unfortunately, we will stay the extra day now in Hanoi on our way back.

    Enjoyed Cat Ba, but don’t go on others reviews for accomodation, check out places fully, we changed places twice and would have changed again but decided to stick it out, do not accept a bad room, ask for one which you believe you have paid for and as it was described when you booked it. Don’t book for a weekend or public holiday, the Vietnamese flood the town. We found best value places to eat and drink, cheapest and great food Oasis restaurant, The big man for good western food.

    Great place for tours/excursions such as the cruises that take place often, or a day trip organised to other areas. Had some lovely restaurants and coffee spots too. However, currently lots of construction taking place in the town so if you had time, I'd say it's worth it for the visit but wouldn't be missing out on loads currently if you planned to go but with no intention of doing the cruises or a tour.

    Did not want to do the hiking in Cat Ba national park, however we hired a scooter and this is a great way of seeing a place. Loved taking the cable car to Hai Phong (when travelling back to Hanoi) instead of the ferry. This is is run by Sun World which also runs the cable car in Ha Long.
