One of the most beautiful properties I have seen and the staff is so attentive and helpful. I traveled with my small baby for her first birthday and we had the most wonderful time. The team ensured a grand arrival and departure while personally helping out with the baby.

Meals were excellent. They have a great chef for Indian and Sri Lankan cooking. We decided to eat all our meals in the bungalow for the great local cooking rather than go into nearby towns for probably disappointing meals. The service was great and Murali, the manager on site, has lovely energy and was always ready to help, give suggestions, and share information. We enjoyed taking short trips and also walking on the tea estate trails. We felt very safe throughout the time. You have to love old-fashioned charm like we do. Don't expect modern boutique facilities! We hope they don't try to modernize because otherwise they will lose the charm. It's all just right, and we would definitely go there again.

The staff is very welcoming and attentive. Special compliments to chef Chandran, who went out of his way to cook a different delicious Sri Lankan meal for me every day. Both the Sri Lankan and the western breakfasts were great to start the day. The room is spacious, very comfortable, and the view is amazing. After a warm day, the pool offers a welcome refreshment, again with an amazing view over the valley and the lake.

Our short stay in Claverton is truly a regret — we only wish we could have stayed more than one night. The place is nestled on top of the tea plantations. The property is full of color, with flowers surrounding the cottage. The atmosphere is peaceful, with nothing but birds singing. Inside the home, the décor takes you back to the 19th century — white and ivory tones with touches of wood. Let’s talk about the hosts now… As you pass through the gate, Shivakumar and Raman welcome you with authentic, warm smiles. Both make sure you feel comfortable, preparing you a cup of tea on the terrace overlooking the tea plantations. As the sun sets and the sky turns purple, night gently falls, and the long wooden table is set by Raman. Meanwhile, Shivakumar, behind the scenes, prepares traditional Sri Lankan dishes. Dinner unfolds with the rhythm of a ballet — starters, mains, and dessert flowing gracefully onto the table. After a restful night, breakfast is served outside on the terrace. We had the chance to try the Sri Lankan omelette, which was absolutely delicious. The crockery is a lovely touch — a porcelain set worthy of a Mary Poppins movie. I highly recommend this cottage. A small piece of advice: try to arrive in the early afternoon, as the location is at high altitude and the roads can be a bit challenging. You’ll prefer to drive in daylight — and if you’re traveling with family, you’ll want time to enjoy the outdoor spaces: the garden, the tea plantation… Thank you so much, Sir Shivakumar and Sir Raman, for your warm hospitality. Wishing you all the best — Ayubowan.

Stunning property — there are 6 chalets and 1 family bungalow nestled among a 22-acre tea plantation, a walking path, lots of flowers and trees and right by the Castlereigh Reservoir. My elderly parents and I had a very comfortable 2-night stay in the family bungalow. The staff are friendly! We had several meals on-site during our stay; breakfast and lunch served outdoors with incredible views and dinner served in a cozy dining room. My fave was kayaking on Castlereigh Reservoir — extremely serene and peaceful! Absolutely nothing to complain about, everything was wonderful!

If you really want to experience the tea planters colonial lifestyle, stay at the Governor’s Mansion. The mansion is located a few kilometers from the main road in the middle of a tea plantation with fantastic views and a serene atmosphere. The Staff was outstanding! Yoga, Jicont (sp?) the wonderful chef, and the entire team were so kind and took very good care of us. The best food we’ve had on trip. The rice and curry dish was amazing. The western dishes are prepared very well. The rooms are very comfortable. We thank everyone for a great three night stay. We didn’t want to leave. The road to the hotel is fine. Most of it is a hard packed rock based dirt road. We had no problem going up and down several times in our little tiny Honda rental car (self-driving) Do not let the reviews with negative comments on the road deter you from staying here.

Together with a groups of friends, we‘ve shared the Family Chalet and absolutely loved it. The scenery is incredible and the resort feels really calming. We’ve very much enjoyed eating at the restaurant and having breakfast outside with an amazing view! The service and staff have been great and we‘re already planning our next stay at The Farm Resorts.

Really beautiful hotel with excellent service and an amazing view. The view from the balcony was the absolute highlight of the stay. The calm and beauty of the tea plantation was great. We had a private butler who did an amazing job. The food was excellent, especially the dinner. There a not much activities to do around, we did kayak which was nice. The bed was really comfortable. The manager was kind and explained a lot about the resort and the tea plugging in the resort, very interesting.
