The villa is an authentic period-era gem hidden in a beautiful, still largely unspoiled area. Everything is carefully cleaned and restored whilst preserving the original pieces as much as possible. Parking is free, plentiful, and literally across the street. It’s perfectly situated to provide a balance between peace and quiet, and the main Milan Torino highway, the Sanctuary of Oropa, and the mountain valley leading north to the ski resorts.

We loved our experience! Loved hearing about the family history in the region and the conversion of the vinyeards and hazelnuts to organic production. The food (dinner and breakfast) and wine was delicious!

Andrea was a great host and a super young man. My "pod" was very well laid out, with bathroom (excellent shower), bed, comfy chair, breakfast area and 2 TVs all in the small space. Then the terrace, overlooking the lake. It really was peaceful and idyllic. I tried 3 local restaurants - Mash, bit disappointing; I Mascalzoni, excellent pizzas and southern Italian wines, nice atmosphere; Mem, my favourite, outside terrace, traditional Italian food, plus some with a twist, good selection of local wines, including some by the glass. There is a bus into Torino, stop about 10 minutes away. €5.30, I was able to pay the driver (I used cash). See Google Maps for stop location and times.

It was wonderful and felt like home. Guiliana was there to help us for all. Dinner reservations in lovely Rocchetta Tanaro, after noon snack with delicious wines, beautiful stories about how the wines got their names, you name it. Surroundings were spectacular and so tranquil Really enjoyed it.
