Guests can enjoy meals from 3 of the hotel's in-house dining options or have a drink at the bar. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. Lagoon view room was like the pictures. Great view and direct access to the large pool. There were sections of the hotel with more people and activity and also quiet areas to relax away from the crowds.

Shangri-La Rasa Sayang, Penang has a 9-hole golf course (is closed until further notice), an Eco Centre and Adventure Zone, and a spacious play area for children at a sister property. Guests can workout at the well-equipped gym or enjoy massages and treatments like aromatherapy at CHI, The Spa. The swimming pools and yoga pavilion are other good relaxation options. I would give an 11 score if it was possible. Staff were so pleasant, courteous and helpful. Pool was really nice and clean. Absolutely love the landscaped garden around the pool. Dining at Pinang restaurant looking at the sunset and under the large tree... sensational. Room was large and clean, beds comfortable. I really struggle to find any issues. Don't quite understand what some reviewers mean when they say it's "dated" and "old". They must have gotten the wrong Rasa Sayang. There is ample to do at the resort. For the first time in my travel life, I was actually glad it was raining and I had to stay back in the hotel. Just sitting by the outdoor lobby area, sipping coffee and watching the rain around the landscaped garden / pool area was in itself a relaxing experience.
