The bed was awful. Truly awful. It was rock hard and felt like we were on a box spring, rather than a mattress.

Nothing beats being right on the hill, walking out your door to trails and the mountains. We hiked the paths each twice over two days and it was great being able to walk right out the door. The hot tub was nice and the food was ok at chimney corner. We’ll stay again

I missed some things in the bathroom that normally in a 3 or more star hotel there are, (if you are a woman you will understand me) the cleaning service unfortunately did not clean the bathroom well that was a bit unpleasant, there is no fridge in the room, but there is the option to have ice.

The views, the use of the gondola, the excursions, the customer service and the staff were incredible, the meals in the restaurant delicious and the service very good, all very attentive and friendly.

From the moment we arrived, Sunshine Village offered something truly unique. The journey to the hotel itself was an adventure — I wasn’t expecting to be whisked away by gondola, gliding over breathtaking alpine scenery before even checking in! Once there, the welcome was as warm as the views were stunning. Every single team member we met clearly loved their job and genuinely cared about making our stay memorable. Their friendliness and eagerness to help made us feel not just like guests, but like valued friends. The whole experience was an unexpected delight from start to finish. We’ve travelled to many places, but Sunshine Village is truly one of a kind — and we hope to return.

Would be great if the gondola ran a bit longer in the evening. Would also be helpful if there was a better way to get your luggage from the hotel to the gondola than over large rock gravel. Food and service at the Chimney Corner needs some love to be sure. High end prices and descriptions but low/mid range execution.

Loved that this resort was in the mountains and the Standish lift was included in the summer stay. All the workers were very friendly. Beautiful views to wake up to.

On our third night, we were unable to get a table in the lodge's restaurant in a timely manner. We ate at the pub instead (the only available alternative onsite) but the food was not the same level of quality.

The lodge is located in an incredible place. The proximity to the sunshine meadows is a massive plus. The lodge itself has a nice vibe, with rooms decorated in a 1970's style, and with a balcony. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the beautiful gondola ride to the lodge adds a sense of adventure.

Walls were thin. We could clearly hear the arguing neighbors 🙄 It was challenging at times to have your things 5 miles away down a gondola ride. We took the bare minimum up to the room because of the inconvenience.

Very quiet setting on the side of the mountain! Fireplace in room great touch! Great coffee shop in the lobby!

The food at the main dining room is mediocre (especially the breakfast), and since the location is remote there really aren’t any other options. The staff is incredibly friendly and nice, but not particularly knowledgeable (mostly short-term international students)

Incredible location with easy access to trails and the chairlift. Comfortable room (good bed, nice shower, nice balcony). Staff were great with kids.

I've never stayed in a better lodge.

The view was breathtaking. Beyond belief. A forest was outside our large window, and the stream ran down below. Flowers lined the stream. I've never been I've never stayed at such a wonderful location.

Gondola shuts down too early and if you miss the 5pm shutoff then you have to be driven up to your room. There is too much too see and do in Banff to be back by 5pm

Some people were not very clear when communicating to us.

We loved everything about our stay here. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. Great outdoor hot tub. Mountain views were gorgeous and the sunrise in the morning was breathtaking. The gondola ride to and from the hotel was beautiful and the ski lift to the top of the mountain was amazing. We had a squirrel visiting one of our rooms through the balcony door- once we got over the shock it was very cute. Most of the people were very nice and accommodating.
