Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeIt was during the renovation period for this hotel lobby, and so the lift was affected during our stay. The is only 1 guest lift available for the whole hotel during our stay, and the waiting time was longer than expected.
The location of this hotel is suitable for our stay.

I loved the view from the 19th floor, and also the cleanliness and room in general.

United KingdomThe hotel was 15 minutes walk from Mong Kok MTR station so it was difficult to get to Tsim Tsa Tsui by train. Minibus number 3 was a better option.
The rooms were well appointed and had a nice outlook over Kowloon

CanadaI guess for a densely populated city like Hong Kong, the rate was ok but expensive compared to many Asian cities, given the minimal amenities. No bottled water provided unless one made a trip to one of three floors equipped with a filtered water fountain to fill up. Really no floor space to put out your luggage, and few plug connections to charge devices.
Room was very small but cosy. It came with a safety box, a tiny bathroom and adequate shower (excellent water pressure), and a small table. Location was across from a McDonald's eatery and several express food places. No breakfast was included in room rate. There was a strong WiFi connection, as well as a flat TV with local programming.

HondurasI was charged an additional sort of tax upon checkout so my total was higher than what was confirmed on my booking reservation (even though it had said that all taxes were already included).
Small rooms, but that’s expected in all of HK. Given the space, the rooms are really nice, bright, modern, homey, with large windows, a large mirror. Small but nice bathroom. Big on sustainability – bamboo toothbrushes, emphasis on water saving, towel reuse, etc.

NetherlandsSmall room, but that's kinda normal in HK. It took ages for the elevator to come. Their explanation was that the hotel was fully booked when I was staying there, but I stayed there 3 times and it's always the case. I think 2 elevators is just not enough for the amount of guests.
Nice staff, clean room. Location was convenient, close to shops and restaurants. MTR was about 10 min walk.

United States of AmericaThe room was a bit small, but it was expected for a hotel room at this convenient (city) location. Yet, the facilities were sufficient or efficient.
Great location, clean room, and friendly staff. There were also a DIY washer and dryer on site located in a private spot. The fee (HKD40) was reasonable for each cycle.

CanadaThe elevators were insanely slow. In the mornings, we had to wait over 15 minutes and ended up walking down. The bathrooms are also quite compact.
The location is great and relatively close to 2 MTR lines. There is a shuttle to take you to the MTR line as well which is fantastic. The staff are friendly and the rooms are very comfortable and clean

RussiaWe are so pleased with our choice of Dorsette Mongkok! We were worried about all reviews but it definitely the best option for comfortable stay at reasonable price in Hong Kong for a week. We didn’t take breakfast as wanted to try something from surroundings. View: not so bad! It looks like the race scene from the movie «Ready Player One». What is more there was a distance between buildings so it wasn’t typical asian dense development. Rooms: surprisingly nice and comfortable bed, shampoo and shower gel from Elemis, clean towels. We visited Hong Kong in February. Outside it was comfortable, but inside it was rather cold, so we turned off any conditioning, bought thermo-t-shirts from Uniqlo. Area: Olympic mall, Olympic station (10 min). If you want, you can use free shuttle bus service to the south, to Kowloon Park and Tsim Sha Tsui area (from 10am till 18:00pm). Hotel staff: very friendly, ready for solving any problem. Recommendations: McDonald’s (just the opposite street) - affordable and working round-the-clock. Tim Ho Wan (affordable Michelin cafe): Shop G72A-C, G/F, Olympian City 2, 18 Hoi Ting Rd, Tai Kok Tsui. Paradise Dynasty (restaurant): Mong Kok, Nathan Rd, 625 & 639號Shop no.203 and 205, 2/F
