room was very dirty, dark and not similar with the pictures. we have found trash from previous guests. the door of our room was sort of broken, we couldn’t lock it from inside, door rubs on the ground while opening and we could only open it partially to enter in. hot water wasn’t working properly and bathroom was a bit smelly. Flushing was very loud we heard at least 3 different rooms when they were flushing…

Old damge hotel, nothing in good condition , it needs whole renovation , bathrokm door , facility , all needs to be renewd, glad it was only one night, actually less than 10 hours then i moved

I didn't like the cleanliness, some things in the room did not work properly like the hair dryer and the fridge, the staff didn't know anything when asked about recommendations like where to eat around the hotel, or touristic information and advice. I have to say I was expecting the service at this level since the rating was not good when I booked, however, it was one of the most affordable options (which was very expensive for what you get). Unfortunately, that was the case for most hotels I found in Rome, I think they abuse the high demand for rooms and charge high prices for very low quality, they don't make any effort to improve it because they know the tourists will go anyway, which is a pity.

Breakfast wasn't included, which should be the standard for a 4-star hotel. The hotel room was pretty dirty, with holes in the sheets, water flooding signs on the door, rusted metal in the bathroom, and signs of water infiltration on the ceiling. Also, a blanket was not provided, and we had to ask for it at 11 PM after coming back from visiting attractions.

The location was convenient. As it was close to the Vatican and to the Lepanto Metro Stop.

No breakfast was a bit of a disappointment for that price.

Location is great, just 2-3 minutes from the metro, 5 minutes from the bus stop. It is a quiet, nice neighbourhood with restaurants, shops in 2-3 minutes distance. One of the main market areas with Apple Store and many cool shops is in 25 minutes walking distance. Vatican is in 8 minutes walking distance. The staff are really friendly, helpful and honest. Toilet was a blessing with adequate space, good facility. Bed is very comfortable.

Property was very dirty, not comfortable, with numerous issues. Doesn't worth the money. Also every time you should. Additionally, every time you need to leave the building, you are required to return the room keys. When I asked for reasons, they explained that this is a hotel policy. Only staff is good

There were some reconstruction in progress (but not bothering us at all) and some strange noises from nearby room (like scratching the walls and dropping stuff on ground, late at night)

We encountered a blatant scam at this hotel. We had made a reservation for the San Valentino hotel in Rome through Booking.com. However, upon our arrival and after scanning our four passports, the staff informed us that due to a system error, only one room was available instead of the two rooms we had originally booked. They expected all four of us to squeeze into a single room, which was clearly impossible given that we had a female member in our group. We requested a refund due to the unavailability of the rooms we had initially reserved. Unfortunately, the staff member at the time could only communicate in Italian and claimed not to speak English. Despite requesting assistance from an English-speaking staff member, the hotel failed to provide one. When we asked for a refund, the staff member continuously shifted the responsibility to Booking.com, since our reservation was made through their platform. Given that the issue was entirely the hotel's fault, as they themselves described it as a technical or systematic mistake in their system, the language barrier was not our fault. We made the decision to leave, only to discover later that they had issued a partial refund, covering only a fraction of the cost for the two rooms on the first night. They failed to refund the full amount for both rooms. The following day, when we approached them again, they still refused to provide a refund. They claimed that they now had two vacant rooms since the previous night, when their system error had resulted in our rooms being fully booked, leaving only one room available. As a result, they insisted that they would not refund our money and gave us the option to either stay or forgo a refund. However, they did not inform us that they had enough rooms for the second night. This experience amounts to a massive scam. After being unable to provide us with enough rooms on the first night, we had no choice but to make a reservation at another hotel.

Staff was very pleasant & frendly...thank you guys for very pleasant stay Hotel location is superb...only 2 minutes walk to metro station and great restaurants,15 min to shopping & Vatican,20-30 min to city centre,so no need for the taxi
