The location was great as we visited Todaiji in the late afternoon and Katsugataisha in the morning so we had minimal crowds and really got to experience in a peaceful atmosphere. The food was very good.

This Ryokan was so comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast; they were two of the best meals we had in Japan, if you are staying try to have dinner at least. The location is perfect, walking distance to anything you could need.

Stayed here for our wedding anniversary. Loved this hotel. The room was truly amazing! Ours was very large. Our room had an outdoor hot tub that was delightful with a great view. Spent mornings in it drinking coffee looking out towards the hills. We also used the hotels private bath and it was well worth the money! Incredible views! The view from the roof deck was spectacular at sunset as well! Walking through the neighborhood to get to the center of town I absolutely loved. Stumbled across fun little neighborhood shops along the way.

a wonderful stay! Close to the park and walking (-1m) distance to temple, shrines, shopping and food. Friendly service, snacks, drinks in lobby for guests, and indoor/ outdoor and private baths. The dinner and breakfast were delicious and kindly served in a private restaurant setting.

The hotel was so nice and beautiful! We only stayed for one night so we got the room with a private onsen which was such a nice experience. The room was hugeee and even had a traditional dining area in the room itself. My favorite room we stayed in the whole trip!
