I was attending a function at the centre which was literally a stones throw away from the hotel where i was staying. My sandals broke after twisting my ankle and had to walk back bare footed. A testament to the cleanliness of the area, was that the soles of my feet remained clean despite walking across the tram track and down the road. The people are welcoming and friendly and the facilities are accessible, of excellent quality and just love it there.

Manchester is a very family-friendly city. We travelled with a toddler and there was plenty to do. The sand playground and Mayfield Park playground are both excellent. The Science and Industry Museum is fun for kids and free entry. We did a river cruise which our little one enjoyed and was safe for him. The buses and trams are frequent, inexpensive and reliable. We took a bus from the city centre to the Trafford Plaza to visit the lego centre and sea life aquarium.MeganIreland - Scored 1010

I just have to say, Manchester and its immediate surroundings are absolutely bursting with some of the most incredible art galleries and museums! I mean, we're talking about the Museum of Science and Industry, People's History Museum, Manchester Museum, Imperial War Museum North, and the National Football Museum, to name just a few. And that's not all – there's also the Manchester Art Gallery, Whitworth Art Gallery, Lowry Art Gallery, and Home, and let's not forget the stunning Rylands Library. The area is just brimming with remarkable architecture too, from the Cathedral to the Town Hall. It's a true paradise for art and culture lovers!
