It is a more laid back place compared with where we had come...
It is a more laid back place compared with where we had come from in Morocco ie. the bustling city of Fez -So we instantly felt more relaxed! We mostly enjoyed exploring by walking at our own pace in this pretty town in the mountains. We enjoyed views from rooftops and from the top of the Kasbah. We had good meals- one at the main square a restaurant called Twins which was great for people watching and to see the entertainers! Also the other restaurant we went to twice was called Cafe Clock where there was live music every night and the staff were very helpful and interested in chatting with us..DanielUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0

Picturesque town with lots of photo opportunities and hiking directly out of town. Smallish, but fun Medina which is full of steps and alleys you can get lost in, but easy to get out of as well. A bit touristy but souks are not pushy at all.DebraUnited States - 8.0Scored 8.0

Scenic, but lots of tourists (including us!) most handicrafts for sale did not appear to be of high quality; however, some rugs looked quite nice but I didn’t have the capacity (room) to consider purchasing any.

We went on motorcycles
We went on motorcycles the road up to it is in a terriable state and th elighting is very poor. If you go in the winter then its just another rainy town. Lots off ferrel dogs about pulling bins over in search of food and leaving the place less than desirable. Of which the locals were happy about. The colors of the city , the houses are beautiful. the shopping is great and nobody harasses you. Love the mountains and all the good restaurants. There is a Chinese restaurant there, la petite chengdu, that was really good. Walking up and down many steps is a must, if you visit and not avoidable, if you want to see the town.

Chefchaouen was a wonderful city to explore and it was beautiful! It is an easy space to wander around and explore the hidden nooks. We highly recommend getting a Moroccan Hammam and using it as a base for hiking in the Rif mountains.DeborahUnited States

The hotel sent a porter to the car park just outside of the Medina to meet us and help us with bags and to find the location (and they helped us back at the end of the stay). Breakfast was amazing and probably one of the best we had in Morocco. But the best was the spa. We booked the pool for a private swim and then had Hamman our attendent was friendly and it was a great experience.MaireadCanada

Taking breakfast on the lovely patio was wonderful. Nassim was really lovely and responsive to our requests. Everywhere in Chefchaouen was a short walk away. Parking was across the road, next to the mosque for 20 dirhams a day.
