The best part would have to be the view! I love a good view and the pictures on the website don’t do it’s justice, when you get there and you see it for yourself it really does blow you away (if you have an eye for views like me anyway!)

Been several times, lovely little old town with Norman castle plenty of shops to browse and good old pubs for a jar of ale.Bowland old brewery pub worth seeing old equipment and massive horse shoe bar! A must is Stansfields bakers on Castle Street by the zebra crossing and buy a "Sally Green " meat pie, must be hot, absolutely delicious. Serviced by a railway station and bus station. We went on the bus to Skipton, lovely change and convenient.

Clitheroe is a town full of interest to all those who wish to learn more about the industrial and social history of Lancashire valley mill towns. There are many old family businesses and shops, cafes and, of course, the fabulous Holmes Mill and its Bowland Bar and Brewery. A charming, thriving and most engaging town - with a castle!

Clitheroe is a lovely town with local shops, pubs and restaurants. The castle and its grounds are worth the climb up the hill. The town is a good base for exploring further afield. For those with walking difficulties, you should be aware that Clitheroe is on a hill and the streets can be steep. For those liking wine, there is an excellent wine shop D. Byrne & Co to explore.

Market Lounge is a lovely property. The owners have taken great care to make it very comfortable and they provided some generous touches which were most welcome - cheese, chocolates, wine. The property is well located in the middle of Clitheroe so you have easy access to shops, cafes, pubs etc. THe property is very well maintained and decorated. Having car parking close was also very convenient. We can highly recommend this property and the helpfulness and accessibility of its hosts.

Before arrival the host sent us over all the information we needed for checkin along with some parking tips which was very helpful on arrival to the town. The cottage was stunning and had a lovely home away from home feel with kitchen facilities (fresh bread, milk and eggs available for us). The location of the property was perfect for us, lots of local shops nearby as well as great parking facilities. We really enjoyed our stay and would book again in the future.

What a wonderful b&b. Stunning views, spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Very nice food too, We couldn’t recommend highly enough. We were generously offered an upgraded room to allow us to check in earlier before attending a wedding nearby, which was really helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms fitted out with everything you could need.

Everything about our stay was excellent. We particularly enjoyed sitting by the river and in the courtyard for drinks. The evening meal was really good with a wide range of choice, substantial portions and great service. Our room was spacious, well equipped and very clean. The breakfast was excellent. Also the hotel was maintaining adherence to Covid-19 precautions.

The rooms at this centrally located pub are lovely. We are repeat visitors. The beds are so comfy and our room was spacious and well designed. The breakfast is huge and good quality. I especially loved the ultra fresh mushrooms. The other bonus is the free parking for hotel guests. A really lovely stay.

The location and building are stunning, Reception staff very friendly, lovely sitting area by a grand fireplace. The room was sound enough but had a funny smell. I don't know if this was a room that allows pets as the hotel does advertise dog friendly.
