Delightful small town. Many cafes, bars and restaurants. Very good bike shop where you can rent ebikes etc. Well stocked supermarket. Very pretty canal-side walks and good place to start or finish a bike ride. There was a free music concert in the local park when we were there. Boat trips available as well as paddle boarding etc.

The restaurant was exceptional, the evening meals and breakfast wads superb, and we could not have been better pleased. The front desk staff were so helpful with their answers to our questions. The original and classical furniture is beautiful, the contemporary beds sleep well. It is obvious that the owner(s) did pay a lot of attention in making the old country house a blissful place Even the bathrooms are comfortable and charming. (Continental) breakfast is great. Service is wonderful. The surroundings (garden) is lovely, the neighbouring restaurant is very good. Definitely recommended for one or more nights.
