Oakdean Cottage Yurt, hotel in Blakeney

Featuring garden views, Oakdean Cottage Yurt offers accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 27 km from Kingsholm Stadium.

We spent my husband's birthday weekend in the Forest of Dean. The yurt was a perfect base, comfortable, beautiful and clean. We fell asleep for the sound of the gentle rain on the round roof and the warm sound of the fire from the wood burner, and woke up for beautiful birdsong, feeling at the heart of nature. We saw deer in the back garden early in the morning. Debbora was so kind and thoughtful, we gratefully received some fresh eggs from the chicken, which made a wonderful breakfast outdoor. Really special experience, highly recommend. Thank you.

The Belfry Hotel, hotel in Blakeney

Set in Little Dean, 21 km from Kingsholm Stadium, The Belfry Hotel offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

Room was clean and functional, food was reasonably priced and very tasty. Nice quiet location despite being next to a pub. Like the way the accommodation was laid out in a chalet style so only had to walk out of the door to smoke.

Very small village with only one general store.

Very small village with only one general store. Pub wasn't open or the public toilets. Visited the Post Office for general tourist information - was no use at all! Good bus network to Lydney and Coleford.
