As a solo traveller I resent paying for 2 people in a double room in the larger chains of hotel - this was ideal for me. Enough space and facilities for an overnight and a good location so close to A1.

A very popular gastro pub with rooms.
We received a very warm welcome and the room was comfortable and well appointed.
We ate in the pub garden and it was all lovely

Our room was clean, comfortable and the bed linen/towels were white not dirty grey. Do not think it was a Superior room though. The view was roof top but not a problem and thought we had aa bath not a shower, plus the ceiling was low for my 6ft 2in husband in places!
Our stay was made just great by Adam who not only showed me how to get a wakeup call on my phone, solved a restaurant problem in a very professional and calm manner. A genuine credit to the Company.

I liked nothing.
I liked nothing. The room was drab with a threadbare and stained carpet. The shower was dirty and the tap was broken. Breakfast was advertised as available from 7.00 on Monday morning but everything was still locked up and dark at 7.30. Food was said to be available until 8.00 on Sunday evening but at 7.45 “the kitchen was closed”. No VAT invoice was available when I checked out. I was assured that one would be e-mailed to me the next day. It wasn’t

Didn't get chance to see much of the surrounding area as I was away on business. However, I'm told it's a very nice part of the country and there's Shuttleworth Air museum just down the road.
Breakfast was fine. It is great to have younger generation to serve food and welcome customers. Sad to say, they don't listen properly and don't care that much. People go to these hotels and etc., after a long drive, it would be nice to be treated properly.
It is situated in the countryside and my room overlook a field. My room was fairly comfortable and I liked the bath which is rare in most hotels in similar price range. The food was extremely good especially the dessert and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Really lovely place! The rooms are nice and modern and very clean. Nice feel to know some money has been spent. Hotel rooms next to the pub which is really good! Staff very nice and helpful. Definitely worth the money.
