The hostel is very aesthetically beautiful and the stuff is very nice. They also offer several activities to do to see places in Bali.
However I don't think it is worth the price it costs, the wifi hardly ever works, the bathroom shower floods very easily and also there was a sewer smell coming from my room.
Also, the common areas are cleared very early, at 10 p.m. leaving little room for getting to know other people, which I think is one of the nicest things a hostel can offer.
Bucu View Resort is a quiet retreat amidst tropical greenery, just 10 minutes’ walk from the Monkey Forest and Ubud Art Market. It features an outdoor pool and a spa.

The experience in Ubud is very different depending on which part of Ubud you are staying. Central Ubud has many places to visit like Monkey Forest or walking around between rice fields. Outside the centre of Ubud, you have waterfalls and quiet places to stay.

The centre was to busy for us.
The centre was to busy for us. The traffic is awful but you get used to it. Plenty of eateries and shops. Huge variety of shop types. Expensive to cheap. Lots of cultural views to see and activities to do. Spas were amazing and cheap. Taxis were great to book on line. Use go get or similar. Outside markets were the placed to get cheap items to take home. We had a wonderful time but needed another week to really do the place justice, we are all coming back.

Ubud still has great charm and beautiful gracious people but the traffic and mayhem is too much.
If you want to really relax I think you need to stay out of town. Lots of great places to eat and go shopping and have massage but just crazy amount of tourists. I feel for the locals!

Loved being in Ubud, though I stayed outside of the main city. Favourite places would have been the rice fields - I did several walks to the rice fields near Ubud and it was so good. You didn't even have to walk far to experience peace and quiet. Did not rate the Campuhan Ridge trail - there were much better walks than that. Favourite place to eat was Mai Malu Warung, they had the absolute best black rice pudding. Loved the street life of Ubud - Balinese people in sarongs walking around, ceremonies, people carrying things on their heads, laying out blessings. It was so interesting and the Balinese people were truly lovely. I got around using taxis, but moped is the main transport if you can ride one. I would suggest taking Hydralyte, as it's very humid and can be dehydrating to walk a lot. Would probably avoid the water temple (wasn't worth it IMO) and some of the places I ate at next time.

Ubud is really the spiritual and cultural capital of Bali.
Ubud is really the spiritual and cultural capital of Bali. Anyone who visits Bali for enjoying nature and real Bali culture should stay in Ubud and enjoy your vacation in Bali from there. We went to four sides of Bali, North, South, East and West. We cannot pick any favourite places since all were our favourites. Each temple has a unique beauty and feeling. Beaches were good too but unfortunately we were not really beach people. so we enjoyed the mountains and other beautiful places. We ate everywhere we went and all places had their famous Nasi Goreng and Mi Goreng along with some other continental items as well. It is quite easy to get around if you hire a car with driver through Klook or Booking.com. You can make the custom itinerary and they will take you there. Uluwatu Temple, Penglipuran Village, Sacred Monkey forest, Ulan Temple etc are all beautiful and we did not know when to stop capturing that beauty through our cameras. If anything I would improve for my next trip will be give one day in between travelling to north and east since it can be tiring if done on consecutive days. And give at least half day for exploring Ubud art markets sicne we did that in a hurry. Rice fields are another favourite attraction.

Magical place we could stay for months and still would be a lot to see. Starting point to all trips to Bali, good base on the island. Amazing art, galleries and artist villages nearby. coffee plantation, rice terraces nearby! Cooking classes available. Sunrise trekking in the mountains! Great shops and lots of vegan restaurants- the food is amazing. People are kind and they smile! Ubud is a paradise.
The view from the villa is absolutely exceptional! this is an experience to come for specifically.
the morning finds you in the bed with a view on your pool and the emerald jungle wall on the opposite side of the river.
the staff was very friendly: we got all assistance in arranging transfers to various locations around Ubud and even for a rafting, which added a lot of fun to our stay.
the breakfast could have had more variety as in other 5star hotels, however the choice is absolutely enough for a 4-5 days stay.
Beautiful and lush! all the tropical plants and surroundings just take your breath away! we stayed at 5 hotels on our Bali trip and this is by far my favorite!
Rooms and beds are clean and comfortable!
The private pool villas are a must! We booked our 2 hrs massages/body scrubs the night before and also early the next morning!
The massage therapists are wonderful! The staff is super attentive!
Make sure to bring your mosquito repellents! Don’t forget to get your malaria shots/pills before coming to Bali!
We stayed at Villa Mirah Ubud (two bedroom villa with private pool) as a family of 4. Our kids loved the pool. We have a baby and first step in pool was wide. It was great for him to stand on water and play. Mostly pool was on shadow. That was also great point.
We loved the breakfast. Lots of options and so tasty and quality food. We also ordered lunch and dinner to our villa. It was great taste.
They offer laundry service for 15k/kg.
The rooms were so big. They provided also baby cot.
There are only a few rooms in the property which make it very calm and gives you the feeling you have the hotel just for yourself. The staff is amazing, from the reception, to the cleaning staff and the restaurant, everyone ensure we had
The best stay possible. If you want to have a great experience in ubud stay on this hotel. We stay in the duplex room with private pool, on the ground floor you have the living room and the bathtub and the first floor the room.
Beautiful grounds the gardens are immaculate, we stayed in a suite with a private pool which was lovely. The communal pool is stunning & very quiet .
Breakfast is made to order and was excellent everyday & all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We used the hotels free a shuttle into Ubud Centre a few times ( which is about 5-10 mins by car ) and we also got a taxi on a few occasions and the prices were cheap. Would definitely stay again -loved it .
The hotel is located very close to the center of Ubud and basically it’s inside the Monkey forest. Throughout the day the hotel is home also to the monkeys that come and go as they please and they are a very happy sight. The Villa is very big and nice with a wonderful private pool. The Villa might need a furniture revamp but it’s fine, it has everything you need and more! The restaurant is very good and they have a great variation of choices.
All the staff was incredible, they really make you feel welcome. Breakfast near the pond is one of my best memories I will have. Restaurant COMO Cucina is also one of the most valuable in Ubud. They rented me a scooter bike and even the price was good comparing it to outside the hotel. They even have activities for every hour if you don't have plans. If I were to go again to Ubud, would definitely be in COMO UMA
We booked the 2-bed villa with private pool, which was away from the main hotel and very private. For the price, it was perfect. It was secluded and huge and had the private pool and garden. Staff were available on WhatsApp and incredibly attentive when needed - see below. Loved the massive terrace upstairs, as well as sitting area below. Water dispenser was a grateful inclusion, as was the kettle.
The hotel represents a little oasis in the middle of the busy center of Ubud. My room in one of the wonderful villas of the hotel was so beautiful and comfortable and from my balcony I could enjoy the surrounding greenery and the sounds of nature. On top of it all, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, always a pleasure to see anyone there. I am definitely coming back for another stay.
I stayed in a villa with private pool. The rooms and the pool were sparkling clean, staff were really attentive and helped us throughout our stay. We used the laundry service which was prompty returned to us under 24 hours, the staff assisted us with renting a bike and with finding transport services for day tours, etc. Would highly recommend this hotel and stay here again
Very very very friendly staff. We had a beautiful room with private pool, all very clean and great atmosfere. The whole stay was super relaxing. The area is just outside of the business of Ubud, so it is quiet and peaceful. The food was amazing, the coffee was amazing. We highly recommend this hotel! we loved every minute of our stay!
lovely place outside ubud in the middle of the Jungle. we stayed in the villa with private pool, which may be the smallest of all but you will be all by yourselves when you go for a swim. at night you hear nothing nur the noises of the jungle.
the hotel staff is the nicest we‘ve ever met.
food not haute cuisine but absolutely fine.
Amora is a peaceful and inspiring boutique hotel nestled in the heart of the jungle, highly recommended. The entire team of staff goes above and beyond. So friendly, always smiling & up for a chat.
Excellent villas with private pool. Great food and don’t forget to order a floating breakfast & flower bath in your room.
We loved our stay at Masia villa, our private pool was fantastic and the views were stunning. The villa is a little bit out of the way and you can’t get to it by car but the hotel can take you into the centre by scooter and will pick you up again which was amazing.
The staying at the villa was amaising. Very comfortable room with private pool made our hollyday magical.Staff was very helpfull and polite. Also the location in the jungle but not far from the Ubud, very easy to get to the centre by bike or by car.
Probably the best experience at the hotels ever. The villa was amazing, beautifully decorated and minimalistic. Very nice big pool, breakfast was delicious and served at the villa. We really enjoyed every single minute of our stay.
Rooms are unique, food is great, it shows they’ve been doing great as one of the oldest hotels in Ubud. Cooking class offered is top notch. We did that 9 years ago, and this time again. It is a wonderful experience.
I stayed one night in a villa and one night in a villa with private pool. Amazing! The pool was perfect. More isolated than I expected. Really comfy bed.
Staff were lovely.
Last minute deal so was super cheap.
I stayed in one bedroom villa with private pool. The villa is so amazing, big space, comfort bed, nice private pool, nice view, wonderful hotel staff, all are prefect. I stayed here for 4 wonderful days.
This hotel is a gem in Ubud. I could not have loved it more. From the kindness of the staff to the quality of the Villa, everything was perfect for my 11 night stay in Bali.
