Scenic View corner Cafe was way too expensive!

Scenic View corner Cafe was way too expensive! Only place we found for breakfast before my son's graduation and for biscuit and gravy that tasted like oil (my son said) and 2 scrambled eggs, 2 sausage patties, 2 toast and 1 can soda was $38..... This food was horrible for this price! The construction work on the highways and traffic, was the first time in 10 years since I've been up there and they were doing the same crap then, and I would not go back unless I absolutely have to!

Location was easy. Spent 4.5 hours booking hotel and paying more than other hotel was and red roofs was extremely terrible conditions compared to cheaper hotel that was canceled prior, which was exceptionally frustrating! Also, 1 and only amenity requested, breakfast was not offered, wasn't even able to make a cup of coffee!

I wrote my review and sent you pictures of my room and the fluid on the chair. And you intentionally left that out of my review. You are deceiving your clients and basically putting them in danger. I wonder did someone report that same room to you before and you choose not to let people know how unsafe that nasty place is

For a city of this size the entertainment was very disappointing. There are one or two bars in the downtown area but overall its not a nice place to walk around after dark. Not much of interest to do and see apart from the Civil Rights route and related buildings which are by far the highlights of the city. If you are interested in sport, the wonderful Rickwood Field baseball stadium (the oldest standing ballpark in U.S.) is a real gem, just a few miles out of town.

I'm biased because I lived here for college, but there are local attractions live Vulcan the Iron Man are worth visiting over a few days. Five Points South is probably the hub of nightlife. UAB football isn't as big as Alabama or Auburn, but it's the south and well college football.

Von was fantastic! Upon arriving at the hotel, he made us feel very welcome. He had a smile on his face, helped us add our Bonvoy number to the reservation, answered questions related to parking our vehicle. He was very friendly and attentive. When we went to the shop area of the lobby, he volunteered information on how it worked and what some items were. It was nice to see a kind, friendly face upon arrival and during our stay.

Staff was so nice and professional, they really went the extra mile just to ensure we were very well looked after, always smiling and ready to help; also breakfast prooved to be as delicious as expected despite that there were not a wide variety in sortiments, if you enjoy waffles for breakfast, they have the nicest waffle-maker ever! I would definitely choose the same location if visiting Birmingham AL again.

Exceptional value. The included breakfast and 5:30pm kickback (manager's reception) as well as the heated indoor/outdoor pool and friendly staff, make this hotel an ideal spot for families on a road trip to stop as an alternative to Atlanta, when heading to and from Florida. This is our new favorite place to stay to break up a long drive. We will definitely return in the future.

I was passing through and needing a place for one night. This hotel is in downtown Brimingham. There are no signs for the hotel - probably not their fault, but at night it is difficult to find - very difficult even with gps. There is no parking except valet or the street. If one was staying a few nights in Brimingham, it would be fine, but not for passing through
