We didn't get the breakfast inclusion but we did eat there. Reasonable prices for eggs and bacon. The hotel was literally 7 minutes from my son's house. We were there for the graduation party and knew better than to stay with them (the party was at there house and went on till 2 am) so we ubered back to the hotel and it was a nice quiet night

Troy Inn & Suites, hotel in Troy

Just off Interstate 75 and less than 10 miles from the Detroit Zoo, this Troy Conversion hotel offers a complimentary hot breakfast each morning.

The staff at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. We did not expect a dinner the first evening we were there, but were surprised by tacos and hot dogs and didn't have to go find food on our own! Breakfast was also excellent both days. Warm eggs and sausage, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, and make your own waffles. The room was clean and comfortable, with a mini fridge and microwave. Overall, it was a great experience!

It is simply the worst ever hotel experience in my life. Staff is rude and unprofessional. They over charged me for incidentals and $250 for blankets and hair dryer that went missing from the room, according to their one side story. Mind you we are in June and it was very warm and we didn't ask for them in the first place. They played all roles, the victim, the judge, the lawyer and jury. Do not go unless you want to see your money evaporating from your credit card and you can't do nothing!

The facilities were clean and inviting.

The facilities were clean and inviting. The room, for the most part, was clean as well (there was a pair of gloves and two shot sized liquor bottles left in my room from the previous person’s stay, though). I did find it odd that I couldn’t turn on the bathroom light without turning on the light in the kitchen area. This made it difficult to shower in the morning and allow my spouse to sleep and NOT be disturbed. I was frustrated that breakfast was supposed to be served at 7:00am and wasn’t ready (or the area even opened) until several minutes past that. The staff were NOT necessarily rude, but would literally walk right by you without making eye contact or saying anything (one cleaning lady actually did look up from her phone and say Good Morning). The front desk employees never smiled and were on their phones. Again, NOT rude per se, but just gave off a weird vibe. I would actually stay there again, but would be hopeful to encounter a little more energy form the staff.

Nice to be away just far enough from the city of Detroit. Safe city ,had a lot issues with fast food places in area but that’s the only complaint I would have to have about the city of Troy. Also freeway noise didn’t bother me , but there is a some noise from the freeway.

It was ok to stay in my room it was pretty clean.

It was ok to stay in my room it was pretty clean. But, its a pet friendly place and dog poo was all outside when entering, carpet was nasty throughout the hotel. The pool area floor was nasty and that was one of my main reasons for wanting to stay was for the pool I wouldn't use it didn't want to take the chance of catching anything.

It is a city that is easy to get around, especially in the mornings. Just make sure that you have google maps on your phone so in case traffic gets busy, that you can orientate yourself in the correct lanes. There is lots to do in Troy. A nice place to go and eat is Red Robin in Troy. It is a very nice, very clean restaurant with excellent service and a delicious menu!! It is also in a very nice location!

Very nice area. Our relatives live in Berkley. Adorable little town. To tell you the truth I don't know if we were in Troy or not. Wasn't real sure exactly where all we went. Thank goodness the family that lived there did the driving. lol We ent to Greek Town casino. Very nice. Ate one night at 24 Sec. That was fun. Ate at Charleys, Green (?) Pizza. I tried to stay off the Interstates. Kind of confusing to me. We also went to the zoo. Smaller than what I am used to but still very nice and clean. We didn't just stay in Troy. We were all over the place. lol

I was told on booking.com that I didn’t have to prepay but when I got there I had to pay 300$ plus the total which was 212 and then my guest had to pay 25$ for parking tickets which booking.com didn’t tell me or I would of stayed somewhere else

Loved having the pool and gym on site, very handy to burn off the kids steam and not feel like I missed out on working out whole out of town. Location is perfect, close to everything we did and not too busy of an area compared to other parts of Troy. Across from tower drive is a Starbucks! And there's a chipotle at the end of tower drive when you come into the road the hotel is on. Room was a good size. Comfy beds. Bathtub if you have kids is nice. The common areas are nice and spacious, nice outdoor patio.

We had a great stay at the Sonesta Simply Suites in Troy. It was a good location for our short time there and was close by to many restaurants and other amenities. The room was spacious with a full kitchenette, and the layout of the room and bathroom worked very well. Also, there was excellent water pressure in the shower too which we appreciated. We were driving by car here and there was plenty of free parking. We would consider staying again if we were visiting the area.

The staff was phenomenal! Every single person we encountered was extremely friendly and polite. We had one small issue and as soon as we mentioned it to the front desk (just to let them know not expecting anything) but they comped us for our second night. We loved that there was a bar/restaurant in the hotel that was open until 1:00 AM so it was very convenient. The pool was nice as well. I would definitely recommend.

Thank you to the entire staff for making a great 1st time staying in a hotel for my granddaughters. We planned a great bonding overnight, of facials, movies and fun. The staff was awesome, and really made the girls first experience wonderful. The girls continue to ask when we can do it again. My husband and I are traveling in December for the Christmas holiday and we will definitely book again.

The hotel was renovated with new carpeting and furniture. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was decent in that it offered hot eggs and fruit. Coffee was excellent (YAY!) Location was very close to the major highways, restaurants and shopping areas.
