Quiet and peaceful location, right next to the Soos natural reserve. No annoying wildlife (mosquitos) despite the vicinity of the peat bog. Beautiful hiking trails and excellent restaurants with even better value nearby. The spa town of Františkovy Lázně is within walking distance (an hour or so) and the medieval town of Cheb is a short drive away. Both are well worth the visit.
The facilities are newly refurbished and very well kept. You are given your own key and are free to come and go as you please.

The Francis hotel is excellently located, only a short walk from the modern Aquaforum water world, 2 minutes from the local theater and 5 minutes from the main spa colonnade.

I've stayed here before, a small intimate hotel in a superb location - right behind the Aquaforum! Breakfast is great as is half board. Meals are off a daily menu with two choices for appetizer, three choices for main course, and dessert. But the location is everything if you are going to the Aquaforum - whose rooms are three times the price of Hotel Francis. Some spa treatments are available on request in the hotel, but the Aquaforum has dozens. I will stay here again.
