The location in the historic center was great. Very friendly and helpful staff. The accomodation added to our experience of the charm of Potes and was a well situated base for exploring the picos.

Ours was a group of 6 motorcycle riders here to explore the mountain roads, bars and restaurants. Opening times for some establishments hit and miss but early in the season (end May)
Beautiful town with breathtaking scenery on the doorstep. There are some good restaurants, the beer very nice ! The locals are extremely friendly and go the extra mile, many don’t speak English and we found google translate good for those difficult situations. The main road from Santander is undergoing repair and can cause delays.
Will definitely return.

Picos de Europa is a stunningly scenic area especially popular with motorcyclists. Potes has an alpine feel about it and charmingly rustic. Lots of restaurants in the village and supermarkets. The roads in the area are narrow and twisty.

Potes lives up to its tag as one of the most Beautiful villages in Spain with delightful sights round every corner .
Plenty of bars and restaurants , we enjoyed sampling bottles of the local cider from the novelty dispenser on the bar (see photos) in La Maison La Torre along with tasty tapas which was all reasonably priced
The Casa Cayo has wonderful, friendly and efficient staff , the restaurant overlooks the river and the food looked delicious although we didn’t eat here as we had already eaten we enjoyed a few glasses of the local wine
We would love to return to beautiful Potes

My family and I enjoyed every moment in Potes, can't wait to go back. It was worth the 9 hour drive and would glady do it again. Beautiful views and places to explore from morning till night. So many adventurous activities to do in potes and nearby towns. The kids enjoyed doing zip wiring and going up in the cable cars to the mountains. Lovely variety of restaurants to choose from and some with outdoor seating with lovely views. The local people were were very welcoming and helpful.
Let me start with the conclusion: The place is very nice. Elena is an excellent host. You will feel at home away from home.
The place is very beautifully decorated, charming, very clean and just a walk away from the center of Potes.
The room was spacious, very comfortable with nice views
I travel quiet a lot for work and the breakfast at villa Elena is better than any industrial 5stars. The perfect breakfast to start the day.
There is a large private parking that accommodates cars or motorbikes
Great location in old town, close to restaurants, shops etc; friendly, helpful, welcoming staff; high standard of cleanliness; swimming pool was refreshing; kitchenette useful, sparse but thought through with fridge, hob (no oven), kettle (not a given in Spain!); washing machine. Parking is very busy in high season (there's none at the apartments) but we found a locals car park on the road behind the apartments.
Casa Matapalacios is a little gem in a gorgeous and adorable little town. 2-3 min drive to Potes. It’s in the perfect spot to enjoy a majestic view of Picos de Europa. The house has everything you need to have an amazing time enjoying the outdoors, the weather, the view. Very comfortable place and the owners are very very nice. We loved our stay in in the town of Potes/Matapalacios. We will definitely go back!
Just outside the town centre, close for restaurants or shops but far enough to be peaceful.
Potes was all open and close to all the areas we wanted to visit.
Our accommodations facilities were excellent for preparing pic nic and evening meals.
Good heating when we were feeling chilled. The parking was fantastic for being secure and out the way of pedestrian traffic.
Very comfortable, clean, and well equiped.
Very spacious, as we were only 2 people (couple) for our 5 night stay.
Close proximity to supermarkets and centre of Potes.
Secure private garage was great for our motorcycles.
Beatriz met with us for key/handover, and is very helpful and responsive.
Thank you
We look forward to staying again please.
A friendly, family-run hotel! Great location (right in the oldtown, but the room was very quiet at night since it is at the back of the building). Very nicely decorated. Alberto was great and helpful. They also run a Cantabrian-products store in the front. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
The place brings you a real experience of how is the life of the rural towns in Spain but in a modern context. The place is beautiful, well maintained, confortable and the views of the mountains are spectacular.
The hosts are super friendly and make you feel like you are their family.
Lovely cool home in central Potes with covered parking. Very well equipped and comfortable appartment. Would happily return.
Access is down a passage with steps but there is a light switch at the top and the bottom.
The videos showing how to find the garage and the house.are excellent.
It is an extremely nice, comfortable apartment in the old town of Potes with a view over the river and steps away from the lovely cafe and bar street scene.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. We would have stayed an extra night if it was available.
Overall great experience.
Cute little hotel in Potes. The owner is super nice and even let us look at two different rooms to choose from. The location is great - right in the middle of a bustling area. Parking is free - on the street or public lot, so you have to carry your luggage a bit.
Large, spacious apartment a five-minute walk from the center of Potes. We enjoyed looking out over the hillsides from the porches. The host runs a fruit market downstairs (and left a nice basket of fruit for us on arrival)
Location is amazing. Very close to Potes which is a MUST city in the region. The views from the apartment was simply amazing. And last but not least, Sonia, the host is very friendly and kind
We had the garden room on the first floor. It was delightful. Elena was lovely too, and tried hard to cater for vegetarians: still seen as unusual in Spain.
