Most of the street signs were too small to read. Totally impossible at night. Travelling west on Pine street automatically gets you onto the interstate with no warning and no possibility of turning back.

Requested a room change ( Reg to handicap) and request was taken care of with no problem. Young lady at the desk was very helpful and courteous. Had dinner reservations @ Adobe Deli - dinner and staff did not disappoint us.. also made a stop @ Lescombes Family Vineyard to purchase our favorite wine from the area.

Deming is an interesting part of the Southwest area history ... from the Indian tribes that originally settled the area ..... to the early Spanish wine makers .... and not to disparage Hatch New Mexico but Deming is the Chili capitol of the USA ...... they process more green chili than anywhere in America .... and it is Oh!! so good ...... Deming is a fun stop between Albuquerque, El Paso and Tucson/Phoenix. I always stay minimally 2 days ....try it you'll like it

We were moving to Texas and had Large towing vehicles and dogs. We were concerned about a place to stay for the evening and get some sleep in this area with our life packed up in trucks in the parking lot over night. This hotel was right off the freeway and convenient for what we needed and pet friendly. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Staff was friendly and courteous. Our room was clean and quiet even with the hotel being pretty full. They had a large lit parking lot that we could see our rig from our window. We got a good night sleep and were on our way the next morning. Would definitely recommend them to anyone traveling through this area.

Getting around Deming is very easy.

Getting around Deming is very easy. The mountains surrounding are beautiful. This is close to the border, so there are a lot of Border Patrol. It is a little scary and intimidating if you are not used to it. The area is a little old and some places are run down, but overall it is a clean little city.

Deming is nice. Walking around town, I felt safe.

Deming is nice. Walking around town, I felt safe. There are some really nice shops and restaurants. Outside of town there are some wonderful state parks. I really enjoyed City of Rocks park. We went into Mexico and the Pink Store is a must. There are also some museums and art gallery. El Camino has authentic Mexican food as well as some American items, and the prices are very reasonable. Marie's had good Italian. The artwork around town is beautiful. It's a nice clean town with friendly people.

You pay a good price, if you need a good night sleep between your trips. Keep in mind there’s no breakfast, just coffee. But the price is right, I paid $48 with $100 deposit which will be returned in the morning. Big parking space, friendly staff. The room has a microwave, TV, refrigerator. No coffee pot, but it’s not critical. Overall a quiet affordable clean hotel to stay one night.

Nice desk clerk said I reserved a smoking room when I was sure I bought a non-smoking. She moved me, but tv didn’t work in new room. very old place and shouldn’t have a Super 8 name— needs a remodel! Toilet way too low and poor flusher. Breakfast buffet a joke— only tiny prepackaged muffins and really bad coffee and OJ. (juice machine broke). And indoor pool ice cold.

Location was fine. Problems were internet didn't work, refrigerator buzzed until I unplugged it,hair was left in the drain in shower, the sink was plugged , the Staff didn't care one way or another about nothing and didn't offer anything and will go online and make stand and tell other's to not stay at Deming at your motel either too.

It is a a good property to stay overnight while traveling. The issue I have is that they actually charge the credit card for the deposit rather than putting it on hold as is customary in other hotels. I was told it was refunder but I am still waiting. I travel a lot and this never happed to me before.

Literally everything was awesome here. I chose this place because the reviews all said how clean it was and it was very clean. Way cleaner than I expected. But what made it such a good stay was the staff. If you're ever in Deming NM and need a place to stay, choose Butterfield!

The staff, Kas, was a delight. She met me with a huge smile and an energy of warmth and welcoming. It's a small motel and well cared for. It's independent and has a different "feel" to it than the chain hotels. Full refrigerator/freezer if you need it.

Breakfast and coffee was good. Pool was quite cold, hot tub wasn't hot. It was a holiday so the place was short staffed, the room didn't get serviced. We spent 2 nights. It was ok as hotel experiences go.
