The nature is incredibly beautiful, just be careful with what you eat or drink. Better to buy only mineral water. And try to avoid to eat the food which is included in the island hopping for your safety.Guest review byGirlieUnited Arab Emirates - 10.0

The calamian group of islands of which Coron is part of, is beautiful. And I hope all the measures to keep it pristine and unlittered will be successful always. There are many breathtaking sights. You would need a sizable budget though to be able to enjoy the boat tours which are wonderful. If you have the time, visit Culion. It is historical (a UNESCO site), and while the places to see could do a little tidying up, nevertheless, the history of that place invites reflection and inspires--many heroic people lived on that island. Kudos to the religious who have kept the place going since it was first established. The Culion museum should be your first stop.Guest review byGuiaPhilippines - 8.0

We didnt spend a lot of time in the Puerto itself sadly, given our resort was 90 minutes away but we made a couple of day trips and Puerto seems more relaxed & laid back than most cities in the Philippines with plenty of activities.Guest review byJulianQatar - 8.0

great area. shouldn't be overlooked/overshadowed. port barton island hopping tour is a must, and the long beach is amazing. Mango Bar has great food! Turtle Beach Resort offers a unique dining experience, and their mango shake is superb. owners are also so warm and welcoming. Lazuli Resort is one fine accommodation; so tranquil, and serene. definitely what we were looking for.Guest review bySalimbangon - 10.0

Every day I walked from the hotel to Sabang wharf on the beach and on one day had coffee, adobo and itlog in a small cafe there. Everyone was very friendly, and I bought some Pasalubong, when they did not have my tee shirt size, they went to another shop to get it for me and to get change when I gave them 1000 peso note. I asked directions to the falls, but no one was exactly sure where it was or how long it would take to get there. The place was secure (police station at the wharf and coastguard and army regularly on patrol in the area. I eventually found the park that a friend recommended (5 km from the hotel) and had an excellent buffet lunch there twice and again they made Chester very welcome, the park was free and had some interesting, recycled artworks and a tribute to the devastation in the area by Typhoon Odette- well worth a visit. Also visit Buenavista viewpoint- the local community run it and you can get Buko juice, coffee, snacks and Pasalubong plus take great photos of the bayGuest review byNeil in BahrainPhilippines - 10.0
If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit,...
If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit, put this one on your list. It's relatively uncrowded, the people are very pleasant and the vistas are jaw dropping. If you are a diver, and have an interest in WWII, you will find an incredible 11 Japanese wrecks to dive. I'd recommend Pirate Divers, they are very professional and very conservative when it comes to evaluating risks. They also know the wrecks like their second home. Coron is a bustling town with good food and pleasant people, but the beauty of the island is the back country. I liked it enough in December that I'm returning in February. To get around, I'd suggest renting a scooter. If you are new to powered two wheel vehicles stay out of Coron, and pay attention to the roads, there are some surprisingly tight turns. Otherwise, since it is relatively uncrowded you should be fine.Guest review byJimUnited States - 10.0
A delightful quiet backwater and so far less developed town.
A delightful quiet backwater and so far less developed town. The beaches were beautiful and mostly clean. The town has plenty of activities to offer and places to eat. The whole place is walkable but you may want a Tuktuk or moped to visit further beaches.Guest review byAnnie EUnited Kingdom - 6.0

If you intend to visit Palawan you need to be more informed than I was. The Philippines are a poor country. Accommodation is cheap and as such you get what you paid for - No hot water, some cockroaches, you cannot swim in the water because of the jellyfish, plenty of sandflies and no shop to get any relief medication. There is no way to move around unless you organize transfers that cost you as much as your accommodation. A must see if you would like to see the culture. We were unable to snorkel due to weatherGuest review byKimAustralia - 8.0
I’m in 2 minds about El Nido..
I’m in 2 minds about El Nido.. I loved the location & the fact that island hopping was so accessible there as well as other beaches (Vanilla & Lio). Unfortunately it has become a bit of a tourist trap with very little local Filipino culture. 95% of the restaurants were catered to Westeners (think pizza, burgers, pasta etc) and were overpriced. It was very hard to find Filipino food which I think is pretty sad. There was none of the charm of Port Barton or even Bohol which has still retained a feeling of the Phillipines despite being tourist locations. Lots of the restaurants we looked up had multiple reporting of food poisoning which made it difficult to find something suitable for our family of 5. We did however really enjoy Vanilla beach & Lio beach which had some affordable food & drink options along with their stunning views & swimmable waters. Overall a beautiful place, but I preferred Port Barton & wish we had spent more time there in comparison to El Nido. Island tours were similarly priced & more low key.Guest review byKatieAustralia - 10.0

Rooms are spacious, big selection if breakfast, friendly hotel staff. Infinity pool is okay, could have a bit deeper though. The other pool is undergoing refurbishment. Island hoping are a must to do. We ate in the town where they served fresh sea food.I think its called Island boy Grill. Outside the hotel the tricycle ride are ideal to get round Coron town proper for merely 30 pesos.Guest review byAlma
