The receptionist had a very hospitable manner and was able to answer all our questions about the surrounding area, recommending places to eat. The bed was very comfortable, the room clean and very spacious. The balcony had a nice view and we had drinks there, watching a nice rainbow above the hills, in the distance.

Easy to find, perfect for an overnight stop en route from Sydney to Brisbane. Delightful staff (Maria on reception and Sean in the kitchen) made our stay extra special. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

This property was a lovely surprise: spacious, clean, well equipped and private. Booked only one night but wish we had been able to stay longer.
Driveway very steep and not ideal for larger car but plenty of street parking. Would recommend this place.

It was a little sad around the hotel, a few people sleeping rough, we did not have anyone bother us, but a sight that saddens when you see people sleeping on the concrete late Autumn. it was chilly. There were delicious smells coming from the eateries around the hotel.

Didn’t have enough time to honestly reply. I only had one night and stayed in wonderful accommodation and ate in their great restaurant. Hosts were lively, rooms were clean and a sharp comparison to the Buderim Fiesta Motel I stayed in the night before which was a disgrace

The food and drinks that we ordered were served to our satisfaction.
But the room and utilities did not meet my expectations as they look old and rundown. I honestly believed that our booking was totally overpriced.
Thank goodness to the beautiful beaches surrounding Coffs Harbour, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

The accommodation was absolutely filthy.
The accommodation was absolutely filthy. The room was smelly as soon as we opened the door. There was dust on the furniture which had been written on. ie. we were here!! The bed was filthy. There was no carpet on the floor. The balcony had wood rot and could be very dangerous. From car to steps leading to room was very dangerous and had not been cleaned up for use by people staying in the motel. I will never stay in Coffs Harbour again. It was $267 per night as there was a Football Carnival on and we had no idea this would fill all the motels in Coffs Harbour. One hotel was charging $500 per night and it was right on the highway. Never, ever stop at the Big Banana Accommodation. Unfortunately my husband is 81 and we felt we could not drive to the next town. Next time it will be worth sleeping on the side of the road in our car. That's how bad the accommodation was.
Excellent value for money, right near the heart of the city and close to the venue we had an event at. Also located close to all of Coffs harbours main attractions. Staff were great and very friendly.
This isn’t a luxury resort (and is not advertised as one) but it is extremely functional, kept very clean and the recent renovations and updates make it look great (and a bit retro) and all facilities well maintained and comfortable. We would definitely use this motor inn again if we were passing through Coffs.
Coffs Harbour has two centers - the new downtown near the A1 and the older parts down at the bay, where this hotel is located. We had a reservation at a restaurant at the harbour, so this hotel was in perfect walking distance to this, the bay, the park and the island. For the other downtown you better take a car.
The room was nice, clean and big, also a big bathroom and a balcony. For breakfast there's a cafe/bakery across the street. We slept well and quiet.
This motel was value for money. It may not be the best looking motel compared to others but the location was only a 10 minute walk from the centre Coffs Harbour. The gentleman who did our check in was very polite and accommodating. The bed was extremely comfortable. And unfortunately we did not bring our pet dogs but this motel is pet friendly. We would definitely stay here again (this time with our dogs).
Brilliant location and much cheaper than the motels I checked. There were ample restaurants and eateries basically just across the road. The owners were fantastic and security was excellent. A great pool too if only the weather was warmer we would have used it. We slept very well and were not disturbed by other guests noise. We had the family room which was great.
Room was clean, neat and spacious. Plenty of room for a family of 4 and luggage. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom appeared renovated and provided shower gel and shampoo is the shower stall. Water pressure was good. We stayed at another motel on our way back to QLD and between the two motels, I would definitely stay at the BW Zebra again when in Coffs Harbour.
An excellent stay. The staff were exceptionally helpful and the little villas on the lake were just perfect. There was no parking so the receptionist moved her own car for me. Incredible service! The only thing I regret is not staying longer. A tiny walk to a stunning beach. A lovely little cafe on the grounds. A delightful hotel. I will definitely be back.
what a wonderfully set up hotel-apartments! clean, comfy, breezy, well-kept grounds, nice pool, excellent location, convenient and free onsite car parking that’s covered! my kids enjoyed the very close walk to the playground, and the wonderfully picturesque and quiet beach, and the food options nearby.
The.location. of property great .This accomadation needs. complete revamp very old appliances. new.I Cabins very outdated . No lounges or chairs around. pool only benches .I saw sign saying New z manager we met him. his was friendley. hopefully he will revamp these cabins as they are in great spot
The location (5 minute drive to heart of Coffs Harbour), walking distance to the beach via the allocated paths, short 9 hole golf course that winded through the resort area and the facilities of the resort including great pool area for the kids.
This is undoubtedly a treasure in the Australian Resort stable. Having once achieved the top tier across the major hotel chains, Opal far exceeds any expectations one will have for a get away.
Bed was very comfortable. The gardens surrounding the resort are lovely. Dinner at the restaurant was good and sitting outside overlooking the lagoon was a bonus.
Large comfortable room. Value for money compared to other comparable hotels/motels. Far enough away from the noisy main road meant a more peaceful sleep.
