We LOVED our stay at Amazi! Deborah is an amazing host, the room is quiet and comfortable, the location simply breath-taking, and the breakfast delicious. We also booked a boat tour to the islands -- just let Deborah know and she'll make arrangements for you -- which we loved. We went swimming in the lake in the morning, which was one of our favorite experiences around Lake Kivu. If you are in the area, make sure to stay here.

Awesome three-night stay. The room was comfortable and had a nice view of the lake, a great breakfast was served right outside our room. We ate dinner at other hotels (Livalana was closest but we preferred Cormoran). Faustin was an incredible host - he arranged a full-day boat tour to a coffee farm and islands, helped with our bus back to Kigali, and even found us baby goats nearby. Deep tissue massage was excellent and professional - wish I had done it all three days.
