Saint-Louis has a completely different charm from the rest of Senegal. You can feel it in the air. It's a vibrant, but yet laid-back town on an island. Saint Louis is a friendly town to spend a couple of days .
Saint Louis is a friendly town to spend a couple of days . the colonial district is atmospheric with a nice vibe . The beach side to the town is a working residential area for fishermen families so not the prettiest and does smell in parts but still worth an explore . Saint Louis is a must see. However, you need to taylor your expectations. This was once a beautiful town under the French, but the senegalis don't maintain it, so expect crumbling houses and goats strolling the streets.
