The Grahamstown Art festival was the attraction. Grahamstown, being an academic hub, has the potential to do more to attract visitors. This will surely boost the much needed economic drive. Roads very badly potholed. Town looks very run down - very sad to see, especially by way of contrast with my memories from the early 70s. Municipal funds clearly not being allocated to improving (or even maintaining) municipal services, but no surprises there ... We were lucky enough to have our pick of the rooms, and chose the outside cottage for the privacy.
