Not as crowded as other cities around Wolfgangsee, but...
Not as crowded as other cities around Wolfgangsee, but offers good spots for swimming, including beaches. Also nice, but rather short promenade along the shore. Do not expect many live pubs or bars, but the number of restaurants is sufficient. The lake is wonderful.

Could only get 3 days at another hotel not as well situated for the beginning of my trip. Moved to Brandauer the last day of my trip. So glad I did as it was really nice, especially the beach/spa areas. And breakfast on terrace. Will definitely use it my next trip.
