Mackay Harbour and foreshore are a must visit, beautifully landscapped with quality building, shops, and fish & chips. 2. Mackay Botanic Gardens are a must visit, and are superior to most gardens. Lovely paths and signposted plants, all overlooking a pretty lagoon. Cafe has splended views. 3. at $0.50c per trip, explore Mackay by riding the Bus network to get an overview of this boom townGuest review bypeterAustralia - 8.0

Sarina is a busy town with a big sugar mill, the highway passes through the main street, so it's good to locate accommodation off the highway if possible. Supermarket & good shopping in town. Beaches are nearby & quite pleasant.Guest review byYoungy19Australia - 10.0
Perfect tranquil location with a quiet beach.
Perfect tranquil location with a quiet beach. Just a 10 minutes drive away from the sunrise wallaby experience if you’re planning to visit this. Don’t miss the battered Fish and chips from the Pit Stop Cafe! It’s scrumptious and I ate mine on the beach with not a single soul in sight.Guest review byMartienUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Eungella is a very special place and it needs to be protected from development and any Hydro scheme. Places like this are sacred and the wildlife is unique, it cannot be spoiled. I wish I could live there.Guest review byMonAustralia - 6.0

Pub was a surprise with the food being really good and staff and locals super friendy. The Cabin was rather tired and needed a good clean, but the bed was comfortable and the cabin had all that we needed for our overnight stay.Guest review byIanAustralia - 8.0

The Motel is located in a country setting and provides a relaxing atmosphere. There is a Service Station across the road that does provide food but a little travel is required for good food and alcohol.Guest review byGaryAustralia - 10.0

The whole place has gone downhill massively over the last, 10 years, the place used to be vibrant well kept, the motels used to be quite flash, now you can barely read there signs, it's quite sad to see the decline, had some fond memories in the area in my younger yearsGuest review byLucas - 10.0
Our stay was absolutely great.
Our stay was absolutely great. The rooms were very clean and spacious. And the ocean view from our balcony was stunning 😍 The food at the restaurant was really good, homemade style. The ladies at the reception and the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. Definitely will stay there again and will recommend it anyone 😊Guest review byYaroslavaAustralia - 10.0
Seaforth is quiet but friendly.
Seaforth is quiet but friendly. Apparently a great fishing and crabbing spot. There is a Bowling Club with an excellent restaurant and a service station/local shop that covers most needs. A Post Office and shop that sells all sorts of interesting stuff and lots more. There’s a cafe on the road in that sells delicious food, particularly scones with jam and cream that are amazing. All in all Seaforth is definitely worth a visit.Guest review byYvonneAustralia
