- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 130 reviewsWe found everything was great here, the room, the private and public hot bath; the food and the staff. The location of Ryokan Yoshidaya is excellent. It is close to the river where it has a road of sakura. We had a perfect walk in the morning and the view was absolutely gorgeous. We stayed at Worikara, a villa just a stone's throw away from its main ryokan and a perfect place for us to relax and unwind after a day's hike. We liked the breakfast and the dinner which were rich in varieties and taste. Finally, we must give credits to the staff who served us. They were friendly, helpful and patient to answer our questions. The translation system in the mobile phones they were using was perfect to break the language barrier and in fact, some of the staff who served us spoke excellent English. Our only regret was that we had no time to visit its cafe. We would definitely stay at this ryokan again when we visit Fukuoka again next year.Guest review bychi keungHong Kong
- From $110.37 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very Good - What previous guests thought, 326 reviewsAmazing service, friendly and helpful staff that were happy to answer any questions. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Very family friendly and it was so convenient to have the onsen right on location. Because we have tattoos we couldn’t use the public onsen but that was not a problem because they have private and family onsen. The private family onsen was clean and had the most wonderful smelling green tea soap and the heat felt great after a day visiting various shrines. Me and my family appreciated being able to relax and discuss the rest of our trip by ourselves. We stayed in a traditional Japanese style room and it was very clean, the futon were nice and thick so very comfortable and the room had everything we would need for our stay including a fridge. We had a beautiful view from the fourth floor and it was nice and quiet, we slept soundly. We will definitely stay here again!Guest review byAndreaUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 50 reviewsIt was a perfectly manicured property and every room offered a breathtaking ocean view. Their kaiseki dinner was delicious and their service was to die for. We told them that we’re celebrating our husbands’ big birthday there and we’re what they’d come up with. They offered them a lovely birthday cake with traditional Japanese celebration attire for them to try on! We loved their care and wonderful hospitality.Guest review byYumikoUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 186 reviewsBEST. ONSEN. WATER. EVER. Felt like I was showering with SKII serum. Service was fantastic. They came out to greet us and helped us with bags and parking. Not only that, we left a small item behind and they helped us to ship it to Osaka before we left. Very very customer centric. Food was good. Love the garden next to the restaurant.Guest review byGenevieveSingapore

I'd strongly recommend taking the time to ensure that the accommodation you're booking is close enough to any specific areas you wish to visit. Saga itself, is simply a township without too many attractions other than a museum, a castle and a couple of short, pretty walks. If you want to see something further afield, such as Arita or Imari (located in the Saga region), be prepared for quite a bit of travel. Even places to stay near these areas are several kilometers away.Guest review byCarolyneAustralia - 10.0

Ureshino is famous for the green tea and the onsen. The Ureshino Tea Exchange musuem is 100% worth a visit and don't forget to drink a tea in the cafe! It is amazing quality and very cheap (300 yen for 1 tea) Then I would also recommend Fuji restaurant, they make great Okonomiyake, Yakisoba and many more dishes! Staff is amazing! If you have a car drive up to the mountain to visit the tea fields, 100 % worth it!Guest review byStefienPortugal - 10.0

I did an overnight trip to Takeo, and it was great - the Takeo shrine and Public library are right next to each other, and both are worth the visit. I also went to an onsen the following morning and that was a great experience. The town seems very easily walkable, and is a great stop between Fukuoka and Nagasaki.Guest review byRachelAustralia - 10.0

One of the most comfortable places we have stayed in, in a very long time. Spotlessly clean. Fresh flowers, snacks on arrival. Clean, beyond comparison. This is not a place to stay if you want city life. It is a super quiet village. The observatory behind the house is one of the best cherry blossom destinations we have been to. We spent 2 hours there and we were the only people on the mountain. Spectacular.Guest review byRaymondUnited States - 10.0

We loved being able to visit some of the kilns and see how the porcelain is made. As well as showrooms, some makers had museums showing older pieces of their work. The Kyushu Ceramic Museum had fabulous pieces on display and good explanations on the processes involved. The locals were very friendly and helpful and pleased to have visitors interested in their porcelain.Guest review byJanetAustralia - 8.0

We walked to the old part of Saga City and discovered the historic Nagasaki Highway or Sugar Road filled with special shops that families have run for generations, the cultural museum and tours of historic homes! There are also new businesses created by younger entrepreneurs so there’s a youthful feeling as well.Guest review byJenniferUnited States - 10.0

The reception lady is super nice, she welcomed us with a warm smile, answered all questions and offered information on the room and facilities, then walked us to the room. A very relaxing stay with in-room onsen, the public bath is good too. Breakfast is adequate, though more types of drinks could be offered in addition to coffee and green tea.Guest review byPollyHong Kong - 10.0
We were there just to see the sakura.
We were there just to see the sakura. It is worth a trip to Japan just to see the night viewing of sakura at Mifuneyama Rakuen. It was magic. We also went to Takeo Shrine. The huge bamboo and the 3,000 year-old camphor tree are also amazing. One warning - at both places, be prepared to walk uphill, a lot!Guest review byJamesUnited States - 10.0
1 - Must go to the Yutoku Onsen.
1 - Must go to the Yutoku Onsen. Beautiful outdoor pools (busy around 7pm, lots of locals with kids), very tasty restaurant - great bargain ¥1000 for the onsen AND dinner included. Massage, etc facilities on site. 2 - Town is cute with lots of ceramics everywhere for great instagram moments. 3 - MUST go up to the Okawachiyama pottery village - take the back roads, as they are beautiful. 15 minute or less drive, 1 hour bike ride or so.Guest review bySarahJapan - 10.0
