Brasília is an interesting city to visit once, especially if you enjoy architecture and history. The modernist buildings and the city’s unique design are worth seeing. That said, I don’t think anyone really needs more than three days here. After you’ve checked out the main landmarks — like the Cathedral, the National Congress, and the Palácio da Alvorada — there isn’t much else to do. The city can feel quiet and even a bit boring, especially if you’re looking for lively streets or cultural spots. It is nice planned city with a history of it own. The natural beauty of the region is in full glory even in the dry season that I visited. The epi blossom season is a good one. The lake is another nice location to visit apart from the usual touristic places. Brasilia has it all. You can enjoy the day playing sports (at clubs, parque da cidade, at the Paranoa Lake) or enjoy visiting tourist places and the modern architecture of the city. We spent 24 hours in Brasilia to see the works of Oscar Niemeyer. A day is sufficient to see all the architectonial masterpieces in the city, and it can easily be done by foot (if the weather is cooperating).
