Very charming city with nice restaurants, great views and adorable Lago di Garda. There are so many different options for activities - walking in the city or around the lake, cycling, bathing on some of the beaches, going with boat in the lake, etc.Guest review byBoikoBulgaria - 10.0
Absolutely stunning town centre with the beautiful castle...
Absolutely stunning town centre with the beautiful castle and quaint buildings sprawling with bougainvillea....lots of restaurants and gelato places to choose from. That being said, there doesn't seem to be much else there and once you've looked around the castle and had something to eat/drink and had a wander, it's enough. We spent 2 days there and that was more than plenty. If you combine it with Lake Garda and do a day trip there (or maybe overnight), it would be enough and plenty of people were doing just that and catching the ferry over for the day. Definitely worth a visit.Guest review bykevinUnited Kingdom - 6.0

I have the impression that the town has lost so many of its services - supermarkets, fruit and veg shops, delis - and the permanent citizens of Peschiera have put their efforts into restaurants, bars and shops. It is a very pretty town but I feel it is not a real town but a tourist town. In high season the ferries are frequent to visit towns around the lake. The bus service in the area functions but is crowded due to the huge number of tourists.Guest review bySuzanneCanada - 10.0
It is a pleasant town.
It is a pleasant town. The historic center is small and the walk takes only a few minutes. The town itself is quite large. The waterfront is very pleasant and there are many restaurants, bars, hotels, cafes, souvenir and clothing shops. If you want to spend a lot of time by the water, it is advisable to find accommodation close by, because towards the interior the town is built uphill so walking can be difficult. A few days are enough to get to know the destination, but the town is excellent as a starting point for further trips by car/boat/scooter/bike. On the waterfront, guides offer various trips. We recommend a trip to the nearby town of Sirmione. In case of any trips, we recommend doing them in the morning hours because around lunchtime the attractions are already crowded. As for restaurants, the prices of meals are on average 20-30€. There are several supermarkets and small shops in the town.Guest review byMichaelaSlovakia - 10.0

Having spent 311 nights in Limone you must understand that we like it and the surrounding north Lake Garda area. Last year it was selected as the most superb flower decorated town in Italy and at the international competition won the top five 'petals' in it's category of small resorts. The winter population is 1200 people but usually busy with visitors from the end of April till mid October. The only criticism this year is that I detected a cigarette end on some steps! Standards are slipping but the Mayor, Il Sindaco, was quite distressed. If in doubt just go and you will not be disappointed.Guest review byDuncanUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Malcesine is a great little village and Hotel Malcesine had some of the best Italian food I have ever eaten. Be aware that the gondolier to Monte Baldo is incredibly inefficient and you can spend over an hour waiting to get onto the gondolier and even more getting back Having said that I would absolutely recommend going up Baldo for the breathtaking views. But take a book!Guest review bycliveAustralia - 10.0
Great and beautiful country not only lake.
Great and beautiful country not only lake. Riva, Torbole, Limone and Malcesice are quiet and friendly cities. Siermione and Peschiera standard to visit. Enjoy there a nice views from Monte Baldo! Be aware that parking and travelling time can be horrible i summer season. Plan you trips to soon morning otherwise you spend hours in queues waiting for park space. For travelling from notrh to south use A22 highway. Travelling from Torbole to Peschiera around lake takes 2 hours (cyclists, willages, queues)Guest review byMartinCzech Republic - 10.0

Lazise is easy to navigate being flat, car free, full of shops, reastaurants, historic sites and a ferry to explore other ports on beautiful Lake Garda. There are beaches within walk-in distance. There is paid parking outside the town walls and some handicapped parking available on the streets.Guest review byAnn B.W.United States - 10.0
Lake Garda is a wonderful destination for a holiday with...
Lake Garda is a wonderful destination for a holiday with plenty to do, on and off the lake, each village/town has its own charm and is different to each other in many ways. hiring a car is necessary if you want to explore further away from the lake to places like Verona, Venice, Mantova etc. but the ferries on the lake are very frequent and a great way to explore across the lake, The East side of the lake has more sun than the west which does loose the sun during the afternoon due to the mountains. Some of the towns can be very busy in high season so if you don't like crowds perhaps consider visiting the lake earlier in the season or during September or October when things are quieter.
