- the food you serve is INCREDIBLE! Please keep it like that, it's amazing - the loft was so comfortable: the beds were very good, the bathroom was beautiful and good as well, the sofa was amazing, the interior was beautifully decorated (also in your hotel itself) we had hot water whenever we needed for our showers so that is amazing as well. - we loved the swimming pool!     Great town with nice boat trip options for world class snorkeling and diving. Really nice choice of tours, hotels and restaurants found in town. Not as busy as Bali and more friendly people. Inland tours have very bad roads as it is windy and volcanic, so be prepared for a very time consuming inland tours.

    A very dirty, busy city.

    A very dirty, busy city. Easy to be run over and huge holes in the sidewalks. Best not to stay here. There are no restaurants. To see the Spiderweb Rice fields it is best (if traveling by car) to just stop there on your way through (takes maybe 1/2 hour) and continue on

    Great place worth viewing, I would recommend taking a picnic up there so you can spend more time there and have lunch they are plenty of different spots to wonder around l. The forest is beautiful which is something you don't really see when walking through in the dark for sunrise.

    Nice, small, authentic village.

    Nice, small, authentic village. Extremely friendly people. Good food, big portions. Scenery along the coast is mindblowing. Streets are in good condition or new, with few exceptions. Good for daytrips along the coast or traveling from town to town. Good connections to/from Bajawa by shared transport (100kIDR per person for one direction). Expect 150kIDR for long distance hops Labuan Bajo - Ruteng - Bajawa - Ende (3,5h each).

    I went island hopping and snorkeling at a couple of small islands near Maumere. The underwater scenery was beautiful. Healthy corals and schools of fish. Maumere is a Catholic city. There's a big Jesus and Mother Mary statue. The traditional market is also interesting as you can find local woven fabric.

    A very vibrant and busy town, as a white family we attracted a lot of attention, not always good. Uncomfortable walking around the town. We used taxis to move around the town. If I was traveling by myself I would have used public transportation, the bemos look fun!

    Fairly expensive, not as developed, if you’re there for a boat tour, just get in and get out, not much to do there you can’t do in Bali or Lombok much cheaper. Can’t say enough about Sudamala Resort, reasonably priced if you book in advance and 5 star all the way.

    Higly recommended to everyone who wants to really enjoy the Ruteng and surrounding area, Waerebo village included (you can get there by motorbike). Ino and his family are awesome people, willing to help you with everything you need or want. You really become the member of the family. I would definitely come back if I visit Flores again. Breakfasts are so delicious and different every day (Im vegan and they prepared special meal for me, but I felt like a queen), beds are so comfy, they have hot shower, you can chill out at the garden or in the shed where you can also cook by yourself. They will give you valuable information and recommendations on places you should visit.. and there is much more. In the end, we are speechless, this stay exceeded our expectations.
