We had the best time at Marwes homestay! The house has a beautiful balcony with a private beach and the food is the best we’ve had in Raja Ampat with delicious fresh fish and home baked cake every day :) Erwin is a super host and took us to the waterfall and snorkeling in Wai. Thank you so much Erwin, we will come back one day. Yeehaw!

The location is the best for diving and snokeling at Yenbuba Yetty , just 20 minutes walk along the beautiful beach. Basic bungalows all you need and nice furniture to store your things, with very clean bed linnen moskitonet and elektric moskito dispenser that worked great. A fantastic view over the sea and reef. Lots of fishes come and if you look at dawn with your torch you can spot spotted walking sharks and glass shrimps and many more sea creatures just below your bungalow. Check out the area in the mangrove forest when the tide is low and you will see more fantastic sea creatures. It was easy and did not bother me at all to have shared bathrooms and showers. You get the view and the bungalow directly over the sea is just the best. The real homestsy feeling felt like home after 10 days I just did not want to leave. Food was amazing and special request as a vegetarian was handled with courtesy by the very gentle and nice staff. Ringo does all for supporting his guests and Bin is a very nice and helpfull staff member with 5-star guest relationship skills. Always kind and helpfull. They have a fridge where I could store my insulin and other items. Thank you Ringo and Bin for a fantastic wonderful home away from home.

The home reef out the front of our hut was just amazing - I saw turtles swimming around almost everyday when snorkelling.

The room and bed were very comfortable. The mosquito net was in good condition. The toilet facilities and showers were as expected for a home stay and appropriate for the infrastructure available in this location. The food was good and plentiful. Loved the banana leaf cake and crepes at breakfast. Really liked the vegetables. Went on 2 of the day tours offered by Julia and Mimi. Those 2 ladies were wonderful hosts, sharing their love for the beauty and uniqueness of this part of the world. The house reef is full of varied life and was easy snorkeling in any direction to see an abundance of marine life (lots of turtles seen right in front of my hut, black tip sharks, sea snake, and a dugong [not seen by me but was spotted the day after I left]).

Stayed 6 nights right on the beach. Great snorkeling just 5 minutes away from my cabin. Meals provided x3 per day, each one different. However, the last 3 night I had unwelcome guests: 2 mice drowned in my water supply barrel. The last night some animal dragged my clothes to the bathroom, at night, causing damage to them. That spoiled the experience for me

All meals were supplied and it was delicious local food served in a nice open communal kitchen The homestay is in a lovely spot. They have quite a few dogs who welcome visitors loudly but never a problem and it all adds to the homestay experience.
