The staff was excellent. Very pleasant and hospitable. Although we did not need our room cleaned, the hotel staff often asked if there was anything we needed during our stay. Although the breakfast had limited options, the food was good and remained stocked, while the dining area was clean and tidy. The parking was ample with plenty of room for vehicles to be loaded / and unloaded. The location of the hotel was great: we accessed the local pier (Avalon), restaurants (Awful Arthur's and Beach Combers Tiki Bar located at the Ramada Inn), and the Days Inn provided free access passes to the local YMCA - all of which were located within minutes of our location. Access to the beach was wonderful! The back of the hotel provides a small shower to wash off, a beach volleyball court and an open grill. Following a short path over the sand dunes provided immediate access to the beach! Very nice!

The aquarium was very nice( reasonably priced)and Elizabethian gardens were beautiful. Plenty of gift shops and restaurants. Was only able to see Bodie lighthouse this trip d/t a storm. So would love to revisit and travel to Hatteras and explore some more.

The Outer Banks had the comforts you are used to - Food Lion, Walmart, fast food joints, etc. And a good number of souvenir shops. Take your time and shop around for the best prices though! Captain George's Seafood Buffet was a definite winner!

    We loved our stay!

We loved our stay! Me and my husband were on our honeymoon and couldn’t have asked for a better place to be. We were directly on the beach. Our hotel room didn’t have an ocean view but that was okay! Still a really short walk to the beach. Kill devil hills doesn’t have a downtown area, but it’s got a lot of shops and restaurants within walking distance. It’s right by kitty hawk and nags head which also have a lot of restaurants. I will say alot of the shops close really early though! Another bonus is how close to manteo, and Corolla KDH is!! We did day trips and had the best time !!

Everything that my daughter and I enjoy were all close by. We loved the beach, shopping and restaurants. We always love eating at Grits Grill for breakfast . The Dunes, Sam and Omies, are two of our favorites for lunch and dinner.

Good location! Lots of places to eat or snack, easy beach access, close to Manteo for Aquarium, Lost Colony, FT Raleigh, Elizabethen Gardens. Best place to eat: THE SUGAR SHACK, about 15 minutes from Comfort Inn on the way to Manteo.

Location is one block from the beach. There are 2 building blocks - one on the beachfront. I requested closer, but was told this was $250 more. Otherwise, our block was only one block from the beach. Road is a little busy so watch the young kids. 2 bedroom suite was spacious, clean and well equipped. The unit block has a checkin lounge with games, books, dvds, popcorn which the kids loved. There are also daily activities. Some people are permanent owners and all were lovely and welcoming.

It was beach/ocean front - just steps to the water. The view was spectacular! The refrigerator was larger than most you find in a hotel. The hotel staff were not just helpful, but genuinely friendly!

The location of the hotel was nice. It was a very short walk to the beach. Being able to walk out in the morning to see that sunrise was very nice. The breakfast was also good.
