It’s perfect for strolling, dining, and soaking in the local atmosphere—a smaller, more peaceful version of Nice. It’s also easy to get around using the train or Uber, with quick access to both Nice and Monte Carlo. I have lived in Villefranche-sur-Mer, therefore I know it well. It is a gem on the Côte d'Azur, a simple village, without the glamour of other places nearby. In recent years it has lost a lot of the local population, as most of its housing stock has become second homes. The beach is free, a rarity. And with the local trains is it possible to visit all the famous places, such as Beaulieu, Monaco, Antibes, and of course Nice. In winter it is very quiet, and most of the shops are closed. In the summer it gets very crowded, especially when the cruise ships visit for the day. Parking is expensive and very difficult to find.Guest review byLa MilaneseItaly - 8.0

If you are just going to see Villefranche-sur-Mer and Cap Ferrat, 2 days is more than enough. Lovely old town and great Sea walks.
