An amazing city, totally changed my perception of India and Indian people. Super friendly, honest, real, busy, vibrant etc. We stayed in Colaba which I highly recommend for tourists. It's got great restaurants, easy to walk around, really beautiful colonial architecture and a lot of nice attractions. Island of Elephanta was definitely worth a half-day trip on the ferry. If you find a taxi driver you like, ask them to spend half a day taking you around the top sites of the city - they'll all offer this anyway, but if you get a good local to show you around it's an incredible experience. They will charge you around 500 rupees per hour and gratefully accept any tips on top of that.Guest review byDanielAustralia
