The chateau of the Duke of Burgundy is spectacular, and the museum inside was very interesting. The machines de l'ile are worth a visit - the best children's carousel I have ever seen, and the grand elephant was much more impressive in the "flesh" than I expected. We enjoyed walking around the city, trying the restaurants and cafes and seeing some of the sights on the Voyage a Nantes green line that runs all around the place.Guest review byMikeUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Tours is too big for us (prefer smaller towns such as Boise and Amboise. The old town is vibrant with lots of pubs and variety of restaurants. Didn't see too much of the rest of the town given its sizeGuest review byRonAustralia - 8.0

Place Martroi great central spot , lots of cafes eateries etc. in the old town & down to the river. Cathedral lived up to expectations. Don’t bother with the sightseeing train - little to see that you can’t do on foot.Guest review byIainUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Blois is a very old historic city with a Royal Chateau and a House of Magic. Very good for families with children. There are many other Castles and a Zoo nearby. All in All, it seemed to be a family oriented, international vacation destination. It was hard to keep up with all the languages we heard !Guest review byBarryepsteinUnited States - 10.0
Angers city is easily accessible from Nantes by train.
Angers city is easily accessible from Nantes by train. (35Mins). Take a walk along the far side of the old bridge from the food hall and find the restaurants sited along the river bank, where most of the locals hang out. River boat trips can also be booked from this location. The Chateau museum is well worth a visit and provides a history and views of the city.Guest review byGarry RoystonUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The closed street with restaurants at the foot of the castle, the river with huge wall up to the castle, the tiny staircase we found that took us to the top of the wall and then another to go back down to the city, the short walk to the castle and Clos Luce, all so beautiful.Guest review byMcHaleUnited States - 6.0

I needed to find a bed without any dinner or other facilities late in the day and only for the night as would be moving on early the next day. Therefore cost was the primary concern. It was cheap and the bed comfortable, though the room noisy when other guests were moving around the building or noisy in their rooms. Don't take breakfast option, it was poor value and not as you might expect when at reception. Behind reception is a pleasant looking restaurant, however breakfast for this hotel is in a side room which is not so pleasant and with not a great selection of food and drink. Check in staff did not make this clear when option offered at check in.Guest review byPatrickGermany - 8.0
Lovely relaxed atmosphere with some great restaurants.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere with some great restaurants. The Chateau was interesting but I've visited better. The Cavalry museum was informative and only 6 euros for entry. Loads of tourists around in August but this just added to the ambiance. Clean streets and no litter!Guest review byEscapade TaildraggerUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Very tired looking which is sad because it is in a perfect location for shopping centres and being on a main road it was easy to find at night. So easy to get to a beautiful shopping centre just a few minutes away.Guest review byRuthUnited Kingdom - 6.0
It was just too small for the price.
It was just too small for the price. There was close to no floor space and the window could not be opened and the aircon was running non-stop and made the room unbearably hot. Not nice and the staff was not very service-minded.Guest review byMaison FrostDenmark
