Visited Presque Isle and a museum. Had dinner at Golden Corral, and the food was excellent. Getting around Erie was a nightmare--WAY too many one-way streets. Totally unnecessary. I love erie I used to live there and miss it. It's a great place to go fishing. There are beaches and waldermer park. There are plenty of things to do. If you go to erie check out to see when erie days is they have alot of different food when they hold this event and lots of music it's in downtown erie so there are streets blocked during this time. If you want to relax, the paved trails along the bay in Presque Isle State Park are for you. If you want a beach, there are miles of beaches - some with concession stands, changing areas, life guards, some without. Sarah's at the entrance to the park has ice cream, foot long hot dogs, chicken tenders, burgers, drinks, etc. A little chaotic when busy, but it flows surprisingly well. You can rent bikes, boats, etc. Plenty of shopping opportunities in plazas close to park and, of course, the town of Erie.Guest review byPaulineUnited States - 10.0
Erie is a nice city to visit.
Erie is a nice city to visit. There are many activities and alot of sightseeing opportunities. Visiting the Erie Zoo is always a nice activity. it is a smaller zoo so it takes about an hour or an hour and a half to tour. The people at the zoo are very helpful and answer questions promptly. there is fishing, nice beaches and alot of local novelty things to see.Guest review byAnonymous - 4.0

It's a very nice Hotel, clean and a nice location. I have stayed there many times. But my recent stay was a disaster. Along with not getting the room I paid for a month or so in advance it seems there may be New Management and or New Staff that is not Customer Friendly or Sensitive to solving Customer's Problems. Other issues were not enough trash cans in the rooms that were also too small. I saw full trash bags and used towels in front of rooms that laid there for long periods of time. Erie is a great city to explore.
Erie is a great city to explore. The bayfront is a good place to walk, and Presque Isle is a wonderful place to relax, whether on the bay side or on the lake side. Local restaurants are excellent, and there are many common restaurants as well. There are wonderful shows at the downtown theater, and the local hockey team—the Otters— are fun to watch.Guest review byMelody
