Futurescope was a big disapointment to all my family. who's ages ranged from 5 to 82 years. The queues were anything up to 2 hours, and what was then particularly galling. V I P visitors were able to jump the queue to lengthen your wait. Some of the rides/shows were good , but one reallity ride we went on was past it's sell by date with the motions harsh and bruising. Poitiers is a medieval small city with a great deal of ancient and medieval monuments extremely important in the French history. It has a University from 1431 and 30,000 students from France and abroad every year. It is quite cheap in comparison with many other French cities which is why I would go there again for a short holiday or break. There are many lovely boutiques with high quality garments, shoes and hats. Wouldn't ever rush back, over restored, not many old buildings left inside the city walls. This was a stop over hotel, one night. The Cathedral was closed under renovation, the Duke of Aquitaine palace is almost totally hidden, we found one long grand staircase entrance to the ancient hall, but no signage of alternative "disabled/walking impairment" entrances.
