I liked the location close to the beach and the Almadies restaurants, the modern look and feel of the room as well as the very attentive staff. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The pool was an extremely refreshing bonus.

Initial impressions were ok, however as I spent several days in the property I did realize it was not a place I would book again. First of all, wifi did not work at all in the room. Owner did bring a router to my room the 3 rd day to no avail. It did not work at all. Second of all , air conditioning in the room is useless , they turn it off when they cleaned the room and left my door open ! I imagine to air it out ? With the heat coming from outside ? Luckily I left my valuables in the safe or else who knows who could have come into my open door Location and place has potential but they have long ways to go to make it appealing to American visitors

Oasis from Dakar in general. We were forced by cancelled flights to stay here another 2 nights, and were lucky enough to get a room. Great staff, always helping us. Breakfast was especially good. We like the room, really liked the bathroom. Rooftop restaraunt was great, food was good, the place had atmosphere also.

    Dakar is a very beautiful city surrounded by the ocean.

    Dakar is a very beautiful city surrounded by the ocean. There are so many places to visit; the islands, the monument, the beaches, the fast foods, etc. As a solo traveler, I was scared at first of the risk I took to visit these places alone, but I quickly realized how friendly the people of Dakar are. There are also many foreigners there and that was a relief.

    Beautiful city, lots of new development.

    Beautiful city, lots of new development. Very expensive for entertainment, eating and drinking out. People are friendly, warm and welcoming. I visited Goree Island, great experience. Ngor Island is also beautiful, 5-minute boat ride, rustic with beach bars and bon fires in the evening.

    A nice natural city, and very warm people but ready to over charge the tourist. Being Nigerian, I was ready for the haggle :) I found it quite easy to move around. Visiting Goree Island is a must but the ferry managers need to improve their ticketing processes and leverage on technology. In summary, we had to stand/sit under the sun for 3½ hours to buy the tickets. My advice, be there for 9am.

    Today is the 20th of February. Been here since the 14th. I requested private room and to pay for one month. Yesterday and today the private room was given to someone else last night and tonigh. I paid. My family agreed I could stay in private room until 14th March. Many men in dormitory, I do not sleep there . I slept at my work. We thought we could pay tonight for the period until 14 March. Earlier today Sonu promis to give discount for tthe private room until March 14 that period.i Pay in advance to reserve.

    What a beautiful unique boutique hotel; a real gem! In my many years of travel I’ve rarely come across accomodation as charming as Nyeleni. I chose the hotel based on the photos and the many positive reviews and the hotel is just as good and beautiful as I had hoped for. The staff were so helpful. They planned a full day tour itenrary of Dakar just for us, arranged our travel to our next destination and when I was briefly ill Madame Virginie took good care of me.

    A haven of beauty and tranquility in busy dakar. Calling it a boutique or art hotel is not giving you an idea how much you are immersed in art and esthetics. Moreover, there are big trees all over in a dry city facilitating a birds orchestra all day long. The rooms are spacious, beds comfy and the staff most friendly. And don’t forget the beautiful rooftop terrace with its funky barman Clement. And lastly, Loman who is behind all that is just a most lovely host.

    The pool is amazing. The staff were super friendly like everywhere I went in Senegal. You can go down to the sea, and the restaurant is right by the sea too so you can listen to the waves. Good breakfast (and I liked the breakfast room, sunny and birds came inside). Super comfy bed, and my room had a balcony. Nice surroundings. Also close to the city centre and port.
