Jindabyne is a great base for a winter ski holiday. Approximately 30 minutes drive to either Thredbo or Perisher. Plentiful accommodation, good cafes and restaurants, lots of ski hire shops, good buzzy atmosphere.Guest review byGarryAustralia - 10.0

Thredbo is an idyllic snowy mountain village with a distinctly European feel. Food is delicious and great entertainment with little bands in bars and great Apres' Club DJs and atmosphere during winter season. It's nice and convenient to chair lifts and snowfields. Excellent free shuttle bus service and thredbo.com.au information on website and face to face. Gorgeous natural beauty all around and good general tourist info and other services.Guest review byDaniela - 10.0

We went very early in the season so not all the ski runs were open but the one's that were we enjoyed. Enjoyed having a snack and a beer up at mid station. Also a couple of good bars in perisher village. Would definitely go back.Guest review byRobertAustralia - 8.0
We used Tumut as a base for visiting Selwyn Ski fields.
We used Tumut as a base for visiting Selwyn Ski fields. A good price for a bit further to the fields. Woolworths nearby and a small main street for food options and small stores. A good town to stop overGuest review byTigger76Australia - 4.0

Avoid! No coffeeshop for breakfast .No restaurant. Very small place. Avoid ! Snowdream Motel Room 6 (1 Queen, 6 bunks, no heating in bathroom, threetimes broken showerscreen, old furniture, outlook of window on rubbish and wood. Owner Michael did not have the reservation by booking. Reception closed until evening, 19.00 hrs. No Wifi due to works. We have a business to attend to, Wifi was precondition to book as advertised. We had booked and paid for 1 week because our daughter lives there, but we left after one night and moved to Jindabyne, asking booking for a refund. So far no answer.Guest review byMichael - 10.0

We stayed at Stillwater Chalet and absolutely loved this place. Well located on the Lakefront. The apartment had a well appointed kitchen, the beds were super comfortable and bed linen was excellent. The resort is so peaceful and has plenty of amenities that you can enjoy using during your stay. There is an abundance of wild life that roam around the resortGuest review byAnonymousIndonesia - 6.0
We stayed near Adaminaby because it was close to Mt Selwyn.
We stayed near Adaminaby because it was close to Mt Selwyn. Poor snow conditions meant we had to drive 2hrs to Corin Forest or Theresbo. Cooma would have been a better choice as more central to snow fields.Guest review byPreston - 10.0

Beautiful country town, my first visit to this town and it is amazing. Nice little town, close to Selwyn Snow Resort and on the way back we stop by in nice vineyard in Tumbarumba. Went there for wine tasting but end up with breakfast and great coffee. Kids had their favorite waffles with ice cream topping. Can see a lots of farm animals and off course never missed out the beautiful scenery.Guest review byRickyAustralia - 10.0
Batlow is a very welcoming little town.
Batlow is a very welcoming little town. The vibe is calm and quaint. The food options are all good. The history of the town and the surrounding places of natural beauty as well as the craft breweries make it well worth a visit. As does the sculpture Trail.Guest review bystephenAustralia - 6.0

This place is much better in spring and summer, way too crowded in winter and ridiculous prices for everything, car parking is frustrating with small bays and close together with no where near enough spaces, over priced and basic eateries and food, we experienced rude staff to people in one restaurant and don't bother without a booking, they do have a coles if you don't mind fighting through screaming children and crowds.Guest review byCraig
