Absolutely stunning standalone units. Well oriented for sun and for privacy. We could see so many stars at night. I loved the twin showers; the first I’ve seen, perfectly suited for a couples retreat. Such a beautiful place, I would definitely come again.

Fantastic stay at beautiful Leogate Estate. The cabins are set on picturesque grounds with a lovely balcony with table and chairs to enjoy the views with a glass of local wine in the evening or breakfast in the morning. Complimentary continental breakfast box in the room along with a generous mini bar and bottle of wine on arrival which was a lovely surprise! There are beautiful indoor and outdoor areas to relax in up near the restaurant. We did not book a formal evening meal but we did enjoy some very nice grazing plates from the kitchen during then afternoon. Great service & friendly staff. Very pleasant stay, thank you!

Due to water damage at the property, we were offered a downgrade to the Rydges Hunter Valley just an hour and a half before our check-in time, leaving us with no choice but to accept the accommodation. We had booked our stay back in May for a July visit. While we understand that emergencies happen, I don’t believe it’s fair to be charged the same rate for what was ultimately an average room under the circumstances. I can now confirm that Kirkton House did adjust our rate and we look forward to returning for a visit in the near future. Thank you Mon and the professional staff. at Kirkton House.

    Never a let down. Love the Saturday markets and chocolate factory.We only buy our honey from the markets from Locals plus many more goodies. The wineries are great we go to a different one every time we started with a once a year trip to the hunter valley we now visit 3 times a year and love each season differently..

    The hotel seems to have been recently renovated, and all the facilities exceeded our expectations. The coffee machine was a great bonus! It’s an ideal choice for family trips, and its location makes visiting nearby wineries very convenient. Situated right in the heart of Maitland, the hotel is surrounded by shopping, dining, and leisure options. The riverside walkway was perfect for morning and evening dog walks. We stayed with our pet, and the pet fee was very reasonable. Overall, a fantastic experience!

    Rustic cottage, had all the basic necessities. If you are looking for a getaway for family and friends , this was perfect. Close enough to get supplies, quiet enough from all the hussle and bussle of city life. The wineries just a short drive away

    Cessnock was a stepping stone to visit the Correction Centre...

    Cessnock was a stepping stone to visit the Correction Centre; access by Public transport was good / satisfactory ... Bus 164 from/to Maitland station... would welcome 2 per hour! I soon learnt NOT to try booking a Cab (4990 1111) at night - very busy and no response; early morning was v good and quick; had a good, obliging Cab driver to and from the CC. Town seems to have plenty of Cafes.

    Muswellbrook tend to be my home town soon.

    Muswellbrook tend to be my home town soon. A lot of activities for the kids around the town: parks, playgrounds even there is a ten pin bowling and cinema. It is a bit unexpected to be so community focused for a small rural town. Good restaurants are available: Indian, Thai, Chinese cousins and of course traditional Aussie pubs. The prices are average, so you will be pleased of not spending too much. 2 shopping malls are also available with all 3 main Australia grocery stores, so not an issue to top up your stock before travelling further inland.

    Our trip was for 2 nights to visit family cousins and to see the old homes of my grandparents and great grandparents and after our visits we were disappointed as there was very little to do while we were in Singleton Town Centre.

    Fantastic array of heritage homes within the town.

    Fantastic array of heritage homes within the town. We had a lovely lunch at the Assar Cafe which we highly recommend. Dinner at the Golf Club & RSL, excellent. Visited relatives, so not much sightseeing. Called in at Lake Liddell, well worth a look or picnic/ BBQ lunch.

    The property does not deserve a 8.1 rating. Could not use the shower or the air conditioner due to there below poor condition, including foul smell. Beds were terrible. Motel was cramped with terrible parking. It was a very unpleasant stay, we couldn’t wait to leave.

    We loved Sir Francis Drake accommodation the best and all its facilities. We also loved going to woollies as it was just 4minutes away. We enjoyed the hotel food and a few take aways from KFC AND MACDONALDS which was just across the road. we found it easy to get around as we have our car, however getting a taxi is just a call away, but Didi was a bit difficult to get.

    It was a good place to stay, with a value for money room that was comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and the food at the pub was great and a really good price. Parking was available onsite or on the street. Easy access to local sporting facilities and hunter valley.
