Kolmanskop and a drive to Diaz Cross is a must.
Kolmanskop and a drive to Diaz Cross is a must. Visiting the old church on the hill was an unforgettable experience. Although new developments sadly the town is in decline. The old German character is fading away. Beautiful views with different landscapes on the road in. Spergebiedt tours is not affordable for SADC country members.Guest review byLeonSouth Africa - 4.0
The host welcomed us very friendly.
The host welcomed us very friendly. The bedding was very neat and tidy. However the TV did not work. The bathroom is very outdated. There is no towel rails or any table to accommodate your toiletries. Shower warm water tap did not work properly. No shower door, only a plastic skirting. The shower definitely needs an upgrade as accordingly to the visits register since 2021 this is noted by every visitor. It seems to me that nothing is done about it. I received an SMS stated that the host will refund us for the inconvenience, but this far nothing happened. In conclusion, I slept twice at Urban Life, the first and the last. The outside of the unit was very untidy with the grass more than 10cm in hight.Guest review byMarius - 10.0

This was our 2nd time staying here.
This was our 2nd time staying here. Lovely unit, with everything you need for an overnight stay. The unit was clean, spacious and fully equipped for our stay. Would definitely recommend for a stay over!Guest review byMareseSouth Africa - 10.0
Aus is clean and safe.
Aus is clean and safe. The people are very helpful and friendly. From there one could go to see the desert horses, Kolmanskop and Lüderitz etc. Lüderitz is no longer a sleepy fishing village and has become quite industrial - too busy for me. The camping spots I believe has remained as good as alwaysGuest review byPierSouth Africa - 10.0
Peace and quiet with excellent view over Orange river.
Peace and quiet with excellent view over Orange river. Remember no shops around but no need for a lot of extras. Breakfast and Dinner supplied. It was interesting to "walk" up the mountain behind the lodge for view over Namibia and South Africa. San pictoglyphs and rock formations amazing. It is easy to reach with signage where needed. I whiled away some time on the verandah with jigsaw puzzle and laptop. Relief that they have solar power and bottled water as well as some tipple when asked for. Showers have heat pumps for immediate hot water in ample shower room.Guest review byHannelieSouth Africa - 10.0
I just loved the atmosphere of the town.
I just loved the atmosphere of the town. We walked into a buzzing, busy Saturday morning. It was awesome. When we started looking for a place near the beach where we would scatter my late husband's ashes, it was easy to find such a place. There were many youngsters in the same area, but they were very respectful and we could finish what we were there for. I will definitely visit Luderitz again under happier circumstances.Guest review byClarice - 8.0
Entering from South Africa through Nakop into Namibie...
Entering from South Africa through Nakop into Namibie Keetmanshoop is the first big town with a Spar and businesses worthwhile. It is your port to the rest of Namibie. I stopped at the bean tree inside Spar to buy filter coffee and other items. There is several churches around. Asking the locals will get you around in Keetmanshoop. The only reason why I will go via Keetmanshoop is because of Luderitz, the most beautiful place in Namibie. Going Windhoek is shorter through Botswana.Guest review byLeonSouth Africa - 8.0

We always stay at Felix Unite but they couldn’t accommodate us. But we found a little Gem called Amanzi River Camp ( Amanzi Trails) managed by husband and wife team Jacqui and Leon. Upon first meeting - they felt like family. Very accommodating in meeting our requirements to experience canoeing along the Orange River. Noordoewer is just a border town but an Oasis in Southern Namibia. With KMs of Vineyards. I think it’s the start of the C13 and a must for visitors to experience the beautiful landscapes along the river up to Rosh Pinah.Guest review bySumayaSouth Africa - 8.0
Lovely place to do river paddling.
Lovely place to do river paddling. There are tiny Rapids, all easy for kids. We used Rapid Adventures. They were super. The bird life and photo opportunities are wonderful. It's a beautiful, stark drive from Springbok. There is a supermarket that sells almost everything. There is no fuel station. Easy to get to Namibia from here.Guest review byJeannetteSouth Africa
