The room was very poor. Bed was clean Room badly needs a facelift. Bathroom taps need some maintenance. Staff were friendly. We booked at short notice and late in the evening. We got a good rate but the room overall wasn't great, it's an old style hotel and I spore that but it needs some TLC.

Was staying for the weekend and attending a wedding at the castle, easy walk to castle. Hosts were easily contactable for arranging checking in. They left welcome gifts of wine and chocolate in the house which was a lovely touch. Very clean loads of space in house lots of mirrors for getting ready for the wedding.

The staff, and the locals in the pub for that matter, were delightful and friendly. We were worried about Saturday night rooms attached to a pub, but the recent remodel must have included excellent sound proofing. We never heard the pub at all. There were 4 very happy people right outside our open window at 2am, when I politely asked them to move down the street, they did so with good cheer😎. The included breakfast was quite good, and the pizza we had in the pub was pretty good too. Good place to stay.

The B&B is out in the countryside so peaceful but close enough to Carrick-on-Shannon to drive for a meal and walk around the town. The hostess made us feel very welcomed and the breakfast was great.
